WHAT ABOUT AN EIS?  (ICE CREAM TIME) Well April is around the corner and the weather is super, which is when we feel like getting outside more, sitting out enjoying the warm temperatures and come goodies.  Already the cafes have set up their outdoor seating and places are filled.  But another popular place to visit are the EISSALONS OR GELATO  - the ice cream shops.  WHAT TO WEAR NOW? 9 Styles that are just right If you are like me, I find spring is a mix of weather. Happy SPRING EVERYONE I can say; I absolutely love SPRING when the flowers are starting to bloom and the spring rain showers freshens everything up!  So to celebrate  this wonderful season  think it be nice to share the moment with you too. One thing that really is nice about living here is there are so many outdoor cafes restaurants to try. So lets get spring hopping::::: nothing is more wonderful then getting  fresh strawberries at the market these ones are WOW mega yummy! Breakfast treat at CAFE LE CHIC:  who can resist a bowl of berries, croissants and coffee? Not me! A wonderful CAFE that is one of my favourite places to visit. Later a stroll along the Danube is always a nice way to relax and enjoy the nature and the spring  days.

               READY TO RIDE ; MAYBE Yes, it seems spring has arrived early . When you start to hear the birds in the early morning, see people sitting out at the cafes and another sure sign are the Vespas  start to line the streets. Yes those cute Italian scooters seem to be very popular here. They are certainly cute, but i always think of them as  more suitable for warmer places, small centres and beachy islands.  BUT and this is a big but, I was thinking i might look for a scooter.  The idea of zipping around the neighbourhood easily and also find a space to park is much easier. The summer is when it is nice to explore different spots.   As well, they are cheaper on gas  ( I love my bike but after the knee injuries , pedalling to much gets to painful) So  a scooter might fit the bill. Scooter STYLE!!! Now that is what I call style - a leopard coat and heels. okay this is  not practical..... but definitely CHIC. WHAT TO WEAR 

 WEEKENDS ARE FOR SHOPPING (dreaming) Yes i love to check out the online shops  , especially the vintage resale shops There are many gorgeous things to find ..... ahhh yes how wonderful it is! GAGA FOR GUCCI it is always fun to check out the resale sites to see what is available.  It has become a bit of ritual on weekend mornings. , do you look at those things also? Well Gucci is so popular for many influencers on instagram i was curious to see what i would find - so here are a few pieces. Starting small with this stylish key ring or purse clip. NEXT is that great BROOCH  , something similar to CC  but I think just as nice. What do you think? And finally a WOW GUCCI purse. love that bamboo handle and the light colour for the summer season. Some extras  that caught my eye were those gold hoop earrings real gold.  The mini tote, its definitely MINI but that look is starting to grow in Europe, smaller is on the

INTERNATIONAL WOMENS DAY WELL GIRLS  TODAY IS OUR DAY - A DAY WE SHOULD CELEBRATE. MARCH 8th,   BUT TO KEEP IT ON A LIGHTER NOTE , THOUGHT I WOULD SHARE IMAGES OF HOW MUCH HAS CHANGED IN FASHION FOR WOMEN. THEN AND NOW SWIMWEAR   THEN DRESSES  WERE MODEST , LONG HIGH COLLARED WAS THE FASHION  AND LATER, WOMEN WERE CALLED ON TO HELP DURING WW2 IN FACTORIES. SLACKS WERE THE FASHION CHOICE. ICONS OF FASHION stunning and beautiful  Women have come a long way. have a great day everyone!

***WINTER IN PARIS **** Paris is of course the mega fashion centre with all the top fashion houses in Paris. Chanel has had such a major influence on chic styles with Karl lagerfeld steering the company for so many years. The final designs of Lagerfeld were on the runway as a wonderful way to honour the man. CARNIVAL IN MARCH Where did the month of February go? It is already March and I am feeling overwhelmed, just last weekend the Ball of the season was held and now in Austria starts the carnival week or FASSCHING as it is known here.  It is a funtime for everyone a Costume party for young and old when they dress up in costumes. Nowadays  the costumes can be almost anything, from comic heroes to fantasy .  Whatever you can imagine. Fasching dates back to the Middle ages so its history is long.  So many European countries celebrate carnival from Italy, germany to those held in Brazil.  So  it really is a worldwide event. Well getting back to a costume , I think my simplest idea is doing a 60s theme - a Hippie look, with a lot of  long beads, headband, fringed vests  and tinted glasses. See what i can find in the closet to work with. 

DREAMY DREAM BALLS I am sure we have all as little girls read those  stories of fancy balls, or Cinderella.  Well believe me there  are amazing balls held in Austria.  It is one thing that it  is perhaps known for - the classics  and balls and I can see why.  The  beginning of ball season here starts with the major event held at the Opera house. The most magnificent building rolls out the red carpet for dignitaries, performers, stars and models. This year was no exception  with Elle McPherson the invited guest.
