AL FRESCO , BITTE! Outdoor cafes everyone usually thinks of Paris  for its many  street lined cafes , but I will say this city has some amazing outdoor cafes and restaurants to enjoy in the summer season.  The city is famous for its coffee houses  such as  the Sacher , Demel, the Schwartz Kamel and many others.  The history of cafe houses goes a long way back. Coffee was first made after the defeat of the invasion of the Turks in Austria in the 1600s. Once the battle was  over  and the army left, they  had left behind sacks of coffee beans which were then used to make coffee. So that was the start of the cities  cafes and love of coffee. From  the small simple snack spots ,to some great ice cream places,   coffee houses  and restaurants there are so many . Some are set up along the old danube or new part . There is no shortage of  outdoor patios in the city and great places for  Al Fresco dining in the city center or at the parks and even at  the zoo- A weekend to

SPRING DELIGHTS Spring is the time I look forward to the most. The beautiful flowers and gardens are starting to blossom,  more people are sitting out and enjoying the sunshine,  warmer weather and the amazing sounds of the birds. Something for a city  dweller I had not really experienced before, we would have to go outside  of the city to hear the birds singing. So this city seems to also be a natural paradise for the birds too. Gardens and Parks  this time of year are starting to show the beautiful colors  as flower displays are starting to blossom.  From the Schonnbrunn park, to the famous Belvedere or the Donaupark  .  The season of spring is in full swing. Soon the live music concerts will begin and tourists from all over the world come to see and listen to world class performers on the stage.  RUNNERS SET GO..... First there is  the Boston marathon, then London and then Wien.... the numbers of runner or joggers is amazing. W

PARIS IN THE SPRINGTIME All the world is drawn to Paris for many different reasons. The city of love, cobble stoned streets, artist , the Notre Dome , Versailles ....  need I say more. It is the city of lights or dreams, known for its famous French cuisine, French champagne and wines  and river Seine. The one city the perhaps has seen more artist, writers , poets then any other.  But  lets see what else is interesting about the city. ONLY A RITZ WILL DO Well my love of  art and design is one reason I would go to this beautiful city..  (and of course people watching along the Champs Elysee)  but another reason is the upcoming HOTEL RITZ auction. The hotel is undergoing some renovations , so furnishings, rugs, light fixtures are on the auction block. FOR SERIOUS SHOE LOVERS Shoes   we all wear them and some of us can't have enough pairs of shoes. From a simple sandal, to a comfortable runner or a fancy designer shoe. Those ladies that have a closet full of shoes will probably love to see a collection of shoes on exhibition  Walk this Way from April 20 . October 8 at the HISTORICAL SOCIETY- NEW YORK. This is a collection  by the famous shoe designer Stewart Weitzmann  with over 100 shoes from the 1800s to the present . He started his collection it seems because of his wife.  Some of the shoes were worn for the Oscars  and now  one can see some of these shoes  that are pieces of art. COMFORT IS KEY! So what does one wear when travelling? Slacks, dress, skirts, jeans? What do you like to travel in? My usual outfit is a pair of slacks , top , a nice blazer or jacket and some fun accessories.  But it maybe is time for a change.  When I found this one jumpsuit i was thinking  , hmm not so keen on wearing a one piece, but thought try it on and see what it looks like. Well it look fine, fit well and was extremely comfortable. One problem I found in the past jumpsuits can be to short in the back so to sit its not great. But this one has a longer cut so its loose and airy feeling. Ideal for travelling  in the summer. OUTFIT for TRAVEL A great look and comfortable is important when travelling. ,Straw bags are big this summer , I have always loved a straw bag, its fun and casual look is nice way to change the look of an outfit. A less dressy look. Plan to wear this with a pearl tribale  earrings and a vintage DG scarf. A simple cardigan for chilly

THE BEST CITY ... ACCORDING TO REPORT. Take a Tour with me around the City a Weekend Adventure Again the city is top of the list for the 9th time , as the best city to live! Not hard to understand. It is a beautiful, clean and safe city to live in. ARCHITECTURE MUSEUMS The architecture of the city is amazing and everywhere you walk there is so much to see and explore. The grand museums, art museums, nature museums, palaces and the world class zoo. ENDLESS PARKS Great parks to wander through  such as the Donauinsel a miles long narrow man-made island built in the danube that is used year round  for events ,concerts, picnics cycling  in summer.  Bicycle friendly paths and hiking trail all close to enjoy the outdoors. WONDER IF SHE IS REAL? How many people follow their favourite instagram and feel perhaps this is what a real person looks like and maybe lives like. I am not talking celebrities like Rihanna or Kardashians  or any of the other major celebrities . I am not a big follower of instagram, but for those that are there are a few surprises  such as one very popular Instagram Star is actually a virtual reality image, not a REAL person. These computer generated images look so real that people are actually thinking it is  a real person. Something strange about that , if someone is able to fool people in such a way  Firstly it is not stated this is not a real person    This to me is funny. with all the talk about fake news  etc. So why is it allowed to have computer generated images allowed to be part of?  Okay  maybe its like following a cartoon hero, i.e. SUPERMAN or WONDERWOMAN - but this we know are only characters not REAL PEOPLE.
