ALWAYS FASHIONABLE BERETS// fashion trend

THE TREND of THE SEASON  - LE BERET! The chic look of a beret seems to be everywhere on the fashion blogs or instagram. The Beret has been around for ages and makes a comeback after a long pause.. I have always loved hats be it winter, fall or  a summer hat. From the floppy sunhat, to the wool felt hats for winter or the pompom toque. Its not only  nice to keep warm or protect one, but it also adds bit of finesse to an outfit. Looking back in movies i think the most memorable style  was worn by Faye Dunaway in Bonnie and Clyde.  The fashionable smart look of a beret is definitely a plus. I adore the look .of the smart pullover , skirt and pullover. A very  stylish look , even if wearing it with a pair of wool slacks or my favourite leather jacket.  Take a fashion queue from films , the style  is sure to come around again,  Great styles never goes out of style. So viva le Beret!

GETTING IN THE XMAS MOOD// decor

TREES, LIGHTS & PRESENTS If you were to ask me  what is my favourite  holiday season  , the answer would be Christmas. It is one of the most magical times and for me its all about the decor, smells  and  SNOW. Nothing is  more cozy then sitting in a room with candlelight and   the glittery tree  with all the lights and  baubles wrapped or hanging from the branches,  Those special decorations that I remember as a child were like small  pieces of art.  Yes , I am a serious christmas lover! So I have been thinking it be nice to have some new holiday decorations, or in my case start fresh. (As i made the move and left all of my things in storage) Here are just a few ideas that perhaps might inspire you too. 1000 STARRY NIGHTS INSPIRATION a silvery white decor with stars  to make me dream of the star filled nights. Add a cup of hot chocolate and yes Christmas is here. Don't forget the christmas stocking.

HOW TO STYLE : Cardigans /fashion

CARDIGANS  so VERSATILE  The cardigan is one piece of clothing that really is the most versatile item for anyones wardrobe. Handy to throw on when it gets chilly, wear it over dress, slack or jeans, joggers or track pants. They never really ever go out of fashion, it is more or less a staple in the wardrobe. Dress it up or down -  you can't go wrong with having one  or two in your closet. I have a  assortment of longer sweatercoat styles in black, grey , navy and brown that I more or less added to over the years. It is one piece that sticks around. In wool for warmth, cotton knits in summer, or a cashmere version well the best. its always nice to have a choose to pick from and wear. Styling it with  different belts  or scarfs  long or short or a fur (faux collar) to give a look of glam. And of course super chic with those over knee boots or newest sock boots.  My love for the longer cardigan is the fact they are  so versatile . Great to wear on a chilly morning, when runn

FASHION, MYSTERY & MOVIES// fashion

DO YOU LOVE A GOOD MYSTERY? Well  there is nothing I love more is to read a good mystery book. Years backs,,, as a kid I would always read those Agatha Christie mysteries.  I had collected most of the books she had written  and would always pack them along when on a trip. This was before ebooks appeared.   Plus i am more a fan of a REAL book. Well getting back to the subject of mysteries, Christies books always seemed to take place in some exotic far away place filled with hot summer breezes, sunny beaches , travels by boats or trains. And there was one detective that was key to solving the crime, Hercule Poiret.  From mystery books, to television series to movies, this detective has been there.  The time of Art deco and lavish styles. Lately the new movie   remake , of Murder on the Orient Express opened and which of course I want to see.  FASHION  THE OTHER POIRET  But there  is another Poiret - Paul Poiret.  I  recently read about his  fashions designed in
