THE VERSATILE CULOTTE If you don't really like to wear a skirt or shorts, how about culottes. It looks like a skirt , but is more like a very loose, longer pair of shorts.  I think they are great to wear if your out travelling and climbing on to trains or planes.  They  are comfortable, yet look bit more dressy depending on how you style them.  Whether with a simple tank top, off the shoulder top, or a fancier blouse. They can also be worn for work by simply adding a blazer.   I adore them for their comfort and especially if I am running around on the metro or hopping on trains.  I prefer a looser fit but not to full that drowns a body in fabric. SUMMER SHORTS:::: Le BERMUDA style How many pair of shorts do you have?  The usual wardrobe probably has a pair of denim shorts or cut-offs or an sporty athletic pair. the biker short.  Those are great for a very casual look, like going to the beach or when camping.  But if you want to wear a pair that are a little more stylish , more chic or more versatile  then a pair of bermudas are an option. They are longer , looser fitting and i think very stylish.  Whether wearing them when out shopping or perhaps a trip.  They look great worn with a blazer , simple stylish dressed up look or with a nice pullover, even a sweat top for a more casual day. MY BIGGEST LOVE  - ALL ABOUT ART (Mein gross liebe - Kunst) I really can't think of anything I love more  then ART! It is something that I have always enjoyed to see or collect books on the subject.  Luckily I am living in such a amazing city where Art and Culture is central to life. There are so many exhibitions to see throughout the year. My all time favourite art is impressionism  and the work of the famous Viennese artist Klimt. His most famous piece is of course the KISS. (i am sure you know it). The art world was dominated mainly by men, with a few woman. But I recently discovered another impressionist artist   Olga Wisinger - Florian . She painted in the late 1890s .  Some of her art is on display at the famous Leopold museum . Exhibition : Flower Power der Moderne, 24 may - 21 Oct Here are just a few of  her paintings, there is a collection of 70 on display. Apparently She was a master of self marketing ( with out instagram or TV)

OHHH SUNNY DAYS May is turning out not to be so sunny or warm as I expected. Actually the reverse chilly, rainy and cloudy, but I am hopeful the sun will appear soon. And when it does its nice to be ready with the sunglasses and sunhat. Truth is I have always loved hats, perhaps because my mom worn them and had them custom made. Hats were big  and are making a return. I am glad to see the selection of sun hats is huge. Not only that, but hats were also seen at the Chanel runway  So my love of hats is still alive and I cannot wait to try out some different looks.  Here are a few fashion inspirations  that I absolutely LOVE. Hats worn with dresses or a swimsuit is ideal for summer. HATS GALORE ON THE RUNWAY   STREET STYLES for a chic everyday look simply add a hat. AT THE BEACH not only looks great but it also  gives you protection from the sun.

THE PLACE for MUSIC When one thinks of Austria, we probably think of the Alps, Waltzes, music composers such as Mozart, Beethoven  and  actors like Arnie or Christopher Waltz.   Yes , Austria is well known for many things, famous composers were really the stars of that time.   Music is always  something people enjoy and listen to. Well that last week was a week to enjoy music-  the Eurovision Song contest. I am in love with this event. I was really lucky to see it live here when Austria won. I can tell you it is AMAZING! So many talented musical people, and hearing them perform is worth seeing.  This year the event was held in Tel Aviv  - such a beautiful city. That is one reason i like to watch the contest, it takes you on a tour of the places. Last night was the final and it was not easy to pick a winner, but Netherlands song was the winner. THE LITTLE SLIP DRESS W e all have a black dress in our closets , no doubt. I have a few that i have worn many times. They are easy to style, or change look , adding  color or wearing a nice blazer over. But this year the SLIP dress is going strong. It is great for the summer months , light weight, easy to wear and pack. And the selection of colours is amazing - like a rainbow. ON THE RUNWAY slip dresses style worn with a top under , one way to get multi-use of a slip dress.  Though I am not all that certain I would wear one. The shiny material is unforgiving and any little bulge shows, but one never knows,  if the cut and style is right it could be an option. After seeing so many options in colors I am tempted to give it a go. HOW about you???? Well a BLACK  one will do, for anytime. DREAM TRIPS and KEEPING SAFE We all look forward to a trip or holiday, whether it is close to home or somewhere far away.  There are so many wonderful places to see and explore. Some places are more popular to visit and have become a tourist mecca. Many people travel to the Asian countries such as Thailand or Philippines. It is known for its gorgeous beaches, friendly people and warm climate.  There are also many stray animals wandering around some areas.  Of course sometimes we like to feed or pet the animals. I have a weakness for animals , so seeing a stray i would be one to try to feed or give it water. For anyone that travels often to these places it is important to get vaccinated. This is something you can read about on most travel sites the recommended vaccinations needed. HAVING A BEIGE MOMENT The shade beige is really a very versatile colour. It goes with so many other colors and prints. Whether you like to mix it up with other colors or patterns is something to consider. Sometimes an all over neutral can start to look a bit boring, but if you add patterns and some color it changes the look. One way to make a simple change is by adding a pattern. The beige linen blazer that is in previous post is one piece that i can change in so many ways. Today I paired it with a flared skirt. The leopard print which also reverses to a striped print. A skirt that can be worn two different ways. MAY oh MY..... It seems like the month of april went by so quickly and now its the first of May. A national holiday here and in other parts of world it is celebrated. April was superb , the weather was gorgeous, sunny and warm. And with the easter holiday, birthdays to celebrate and visitors it seemed to fly by - not to forget the GoT series couldn't miss that! I do enjoy the season and spring ,but it seems to always come and go to fast for my liking. Well after all the celebrations  I was feeling so tired. Plus I took some time off to prepare. (renovation or assembling new bookcases)  Now the place is what i would say a bit of a mess. The bedroom has some clothes piled on the bed (sweaters from winter) , books piled up, advertising flyers on kitchen counter, etc.... sorry sight to see.
