Wh at is the first thing you do when spring arrives??? I think most of us are glad that finally spring is here. The longer days, warmer weather, not to mention the spring flowers . All things we enjoy.  I especially enjoy getting outside in the garden or going for a bike ride. Finally being able to clear away somethings outside which I find is great .  One thing I have been meaning to get are carrying baskets to mount on the bike. Something I really need to hold shopping 🛍️ r books . Inside Out  Something I enjoy at this time of year is to set out some spring flowers inside .  Bunchesxof tulips or daffodils. They  add so much to a space. Plus they brighten up a room.  Another nice idea is to add some decorative  touches. I never seem to have enough vases    I found these cute spring inspired ones  to set up on  table or the nightstand  Think it says ….. Sspring is here  Enjoy your springtime

  CYCLING ADVENTURE In one of my last posts I mentioned getting my bicycle ready for riding.  then i happened to find something i  was missing for my bike,    a few accessories  like  tire pump,  and the tools.  Found this handy set so will be all set for any flat tire issue....... i hope. SPRING THINGS A new set of dishes for outdoors  is just what we needed . like the soft pastel shades and the fact  don't need to worry if they break......... This set reminds me of spring and will add some colour to dining  al fresco.  Next will have to find a nice table covering to set them on.  Some print perhaps?   PLUS more......... LAVENDER! YES   I have an addiction for lavender!  L ast years plant is looking a bit straggly , so something GREEN with flowers is needed outside.  Somehow it never seems to grow back like this photo.  Any tips??? Have you planted lavender in your garden or on your balcony?

   ODE to SPRING There is one thing I have always liked to do when spring arrives and Easter weekend is near. Spring starts with flowers for inside or outside, the blooming branches set up on display, followed by a  change of dinnerware. I love to bring out the spring look dishes and enjoy our day with something cheery.  Now is the time for some cheering up..(another full lockdown). Adding some colour is always a cheer-me-up.  NOWHERE LIKE HOME After we have spent so, so much time in lockdowns  our space can become a bit boring or uninteresting. I admit I am getting really tired of being stuck inside, staring at the same walls, but there is always something to look forward to, SPRING ! This is one of my favourite seasons, and a chance to be outside in the garden or planting something. This year i was thinking to grow a few herbs and vegetables, but I really don't seem to have a green thumb.  But I continue to preserve and hope for the best. THE  ALL -IN-ONE  ROOM The Plan There is one room in my home that we have needed to work on for sometime.  It was a combination of bedroom, workspace with a desk, a shelf and cabinet unit,  4 bookcases  that were overfilled and not stable, and small sofa  and a complete mess. (my first surprise when I moved here) So we started to empty out all the books. Brought in a solid unit , a Pax and Kallax shelfs to unify and hold all the books and computer things.  Now its time to work on the rest of the space to give it a FRESH clean look. Firstly a space for guests or somewhere to sit and read.  A room that was bright, light and almost spa like. Decided on a rattan fold out , some nesting tables that are easy to move around and a spot to set a book, cup down on, some DIY pillows for colour and a nice plant.    Work out area is  set up by the windows, next to the plant-- and the massage chair for my achey back after all this work.  

  HI EVERYONE How was your first week of 2021?  I have to say the week started slowly after the holidays. We are still in lockdown , so we are limited to staying home , only trips to shop essentials- so there really isn't much new.   Like most of us during lockdown we have a certain daily routine. I started to remove some of the christmas things, but left a few things out like the lite houses,wintery snow globes, and my favourite string of lights that look like candles.  Keeping the wintery feel in the room with candles and some greenery DIY PROJECT I love the look when the tree branches are covered in frost, the silvery white that glistens with the sunshine looks so beautiful. Tried my hand at making the frosted branches , these things are so lovely and easy to do.   WHAT WAS POPULAR in 2020 Top posts of the year were a mix,  but the one that was most popular was the TOUCH OF GOLD, followed by fashions, and people seemed to be interested in a few gardening DIYS, which was a kind of a surprise .
