INSPIRATION & MOVIES// Lifestyle

THE WEEKEND  :::: Happy Leap Day Feb 29th It's the weekend and time to unwind. One of the most enjoyable ways for me  are movies. Some movies are so , so  and others are memorable! Some are also very inspiring! They can  inspire one in many different ways, to dream , to learn , to travel and explore or even write.  One film I was inspired with is one about NASA - set in the late 1960s called HIDDEN FIGURES . It was an amazing film about women that worked as scientists at NASA.  One of those women was Katherine Johnson, she was a mathematician.  Well just recently she died at the age of 101.   Hers was a an amazing story and life. That film was very interesting and enlightening. I have always found things interesting when visiting  a planetarium , or when there are solar or moon eclipses.  So to watch this film was truly amazing about the life and work of each of them.  Of course there are many more space films, most ...

FASCINATING JEWELS // fashion

the  ROYAL JEWELS of MARIE ANTOINETTE At a recent  Sotheby's auction in Geneva some very historical pieces of jewelry were auctioned that once belonged to the French royal Marie Antionette.  A most beautiful  diamond pearl pendant , diamond ring with the initials MA and other royal pieces To my surprise  I read she  was a  Austrian princess that married the French prince Louis at a young age. She was born in Vienna at the royal winter palace Hofburg. The rest of history we know, the French revolution brought the end to royals in France.  But before that the jewels were smuggled out of France and sent back to Austria.  A very interesting journey and story  that shows the happenings of the  city  back then.  HOFBURG PALACE  & SQUARE THE ROYAL JEWELS OF MARIE ANTOINETTE
