  Devil o wears Prada 2 Yes it has been awhile since the first movie came out.  But now a new one is soon to be released .  I did enjoy  seeing actress Hathaway be transformed from a unstylish young college student to a a fashionable assistant. The designer clothes were really the best part.  Then of course there were the othe actors Tucci , blunt and of course Streep as Miranda the Editor . The all business cold editor.  Well they will be back .in  part2.  Will be interesting to see  them all together again . What’s new different and interesting.  Vogue news Well there will be a change in the fashion world namely the. Famous fashion editor Dame Anna Wntour is retiring.  To imagine she was the editor from the late 80s till now.  That id an amazing accomplishment. She has steered Vogue through some interesting times . She changes the fashion magazines but not only featuring models   but also movie stars and popstars   ...

T HE RIGHT ONEs  Summer and the sun is something we all look forward to. Getting outside enjoying the sunshine but most important is to to protect your eyes!  I have been looking for a new pair of sunglasses.  Thinking I might get a pair of design ones, Chanel , Gucci ??  Well more importantly is to get a pair with a higher UV number .  Apparently there is no difference from a designer pair or a pair from any shop .  Other than the price.style or quality.  Looking at and trying sunglasses checking fit is important .  The style look and what suits you are all things to consider .  The UV protection is what really matters  also something I didn’t know was the side part of thin matters also. Why?  If to thin UV rays can enter and effect your eyes. So the sides of sun glasse is something else to  consider .  Enjoy the sunshine ☀️ 

 POP of COLOR Yes it is something we all want need. Keeping warm in the cold winter months.  One of favorite knit top has been my steady Look. The fact it has a large cowl neck collar that I pull up over my face  when it’s windy outside.  It is comfortable and feels cozy . The color is vibrant on those dull dreary days .  A pop of color is nice to see during the winter  season when mostly black seems to be the color of choice.  The Accessories .  I love to add a few accessories also.  Bracelets add a little interest to the look .  The three sterling silver bangles worn over sleeve looks good  , as well as the multi twist bracelet.  Ps  The photo does not show the true color .  It’s a very vibrant blue shade . Looks dull .  After a few retakes no change.  Camera issues. 

  Time for some color  Finally the weather is warmer and can wear lighter clothes. I especially like to start the summer/spring with some color .  One of my favorites is a colorful knit on I bought years ago , a Liz Clairborn design.  It’s a piece that just say spring is here. After a long  , cold winter of wearing mostly dark or muted shades it’s nice to bring out something bright a cheery. 

 Favorite things  I really didn’t go overboard with any purchases in 2023.  Trying to keep to the sustainable fashion idea  of shopping my closet or using what I have .  Mind you there were somethings I thought about getting like a new pair of sunglasses, some shoes  sandals, new purse , but I still need new sunglasses. My old pair has some scratches on them sadly.  The two pieces I did get I absolutely love . Firstly a linen blend blazer in cream shade. It goes with so many things so can’t wait to spring to wear it again.  Also the new wrap dress I bought in spring.  The color I loved , the fit and style is nice to wear for dinners out, parties or weddings. A very versatile piece.   The other item was from a previous year but I had forgotten about it  was a nice surprise. I wore it over Christmas holidays. and got compliments on it . A knit top with sparkle accents.  It was so comfortable and warm . Absolutely loved it.  ...

 New beginnings / fashion trends  The end of the year is fast approaching and it has been a rather strange year.  But what has changed in fashion is the issue of sustainability! The word has become the buzz word in fashion. From recyclable fashions, restyled or vintage style.  I for one keep to a certain style or print mostly. Sometimes adding color in the mix. A bit of red , blue or hot pink are my favorites.  Recently read an interesting article on the trends for 2024.   Some I am happy to say I already have in my wardrobe and other not. But basically I won’t need to buy anything new in 2024.   2024 trends are for me ideal . Polka dots , anything red ,knitwear and  a splash of metallics . Dressing up ??   This holiday  season I am thinking to just have a more relaxed look. No one seems to dress up as much - even though for myself I like to make it more special.  My thoughts are ; You cam wear the casual look year round , but Christmas is only once a year. . We celebrate on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. So I thought  one day relaxed , the other a little more fun dressy .  For the relaxed day decided to wear the grey knit tunic with some accessories to p er k it up.  Silver necklaces add a bit of interest, just which one ( maybe both),  Day 2  Christmas Day  A knit top with some sparkle details this is one thing I really love for the holidays SPARKLE.  No need for any jewelry just nice pair of earrings and a braclet. Can wear it slacks or a nice skirt. Dressy heels and voila .  Happy holidays everyone!   🎄🌟✨🎁🎁

  Chanel in the UK  The latest Chanel fashion show was presented in Manchester on an actual street . Something definitely different.  But it does remind me of Karl Lagerfeld past show settings in wintery chalets scenery.  As always the celebrities were there Kristen   Stewart, Hugh grant plus others .  COLORS It was like a colorful rainbow of pinks, orange , green and blue.  A very summery look.  Here you can see some photos from the show https://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-67651946

Styling   Keeping Warm A few Christmas back I was looking to add a few new knit tops to my wardrobe.  I kept looking but nothing grabbed my attention.  My collection is a mix of colors in different shades from blues, red, plum and of course black.  Something I did not have were more neutral tones. So I found one nice grey tunic  that is comfortable and wear  can wear over slacks, paired with a nice heel or boots . 

Well we are well into the fall season with the cooler temperatures and the latest fall fashions . These are some lovely pieces. The neutral tones are always a favorite from pant suits to dresses . Have to say, I love them he all!  TURTLENECKS COLOR POPS  These two dresses just brighten up any day. Love the ruffle details and color. SUIT STYLE  Two different looks . The grey black combo definitely suits the fall season, the floral detail os a nice added touch.  White in fall , why not .  Love the total look , clean lines . Simple , smart, classy. BROWN and BEIGE  The max Mara fashion is calling me.  I actually have a similar coat .  The suit is another favorite. Cropped blazers are in.   FASHION 

Tote time  Are you a tote fan? The one thing I do like when it comes to handbags is a good size tote.  The many uses, especially for everyday use is the size. I like to have one that can carry my daily things , phone , wallets , glasses , book , scarf or even extra shoes .   Especially for traveling they are a must- have.  Here are a few totes that fit the  bill.      

 Lovely London 🇬🇧  This was an exciting week in London with fashion week and Vogue. The designers, models, movie stars and royals  appeared on the red carpet. Not to mention Vogue fashion editor .. As expected in fashion there are always some surprises to see. A no dress needed look. Some lovely gowns, the all white pant suit and some sparkle too, Grey suit with sequins . This I love.  When and where(wear)  Sequins have been around since ancient times. Early 1920s was the glam era , parties, dancing and sequins . Though a popular Look those sequins did not last,as they were of gelatin and would melt.   Now sequinsare massed produced and cheap.  I have a Love for sparkle and sequins . .so reading about the fashion was an eyeopener.  https://www.bbc.com/culture/article/20230825-why-sequins-are-so-exhilarating-to-wear I hae s few pieces that I wear festive season, then one more casual one. A white  top with sequin stripes that can be worn anytime and in many different ways . Dressed up or down  with slacks, jeans , or a flowy skirt  endless ideas . I am so glad I bought it.  Really if you love something and can’t decide how to wear it , try it with different pieces , you might be surprised!  Summer style white cream  with silver accessories. 

  Dressed in Blue Beginning of spring I was looking for a nice dress to wear for going to dinners, summer parties or weddings. I loved the style, cut and color.  It’s a perfect dress to wear for just about anything. A simple wrap style with a tie on side. The hem is rounded , a nice detail. A v-neck front and back but not too low cut . Not only that it is comfortable, an added plus. Personally it is one of my favorite dresses now.  Wrap style dress Wrap style dress

 The Basic LBD I have been looking for a simple basic black dress, something comfortable but also cool.  A fabric that will breath , especially in the heat we are getting this summer.  I know black not the best color but I plan to wear it under a blazer or sweater come fall .  I do habe a couple black dresses but in polyester blends.  Not cool to wear now.  The Simple LBD Plus these sandals  Never can go wrong with a LBD .
