ENJOYING THE WEEKEND @market// Lifestyle, travel,

WHEN IN ........ rome , paris or vienna  go to the Market. The one place to really get a feel for a city or mingle with the locals, is to go to a outdoor market. Europe I would say is famous for its markets. Some are huge and then there are smaller ones in different towns or cities. I have always loved to wander around a market , get the fresh products, new things to try and enjoy sitting and watching the people. Here there is one market that is most popular the Naschmarkt. The market is open 7 days a week and there are many places to explore - the foods , the crafts, hat makers,  cafes,  it is endless. On Fridays one can check out the flea market for interesting  and unique things. Whatever you fancy you can probably find it there. 🍉SUMMERTIME FAVOURITES 🍒🍒🍓 Fresh strawberries , anything with strawberries, strawberry daiquiri (my favourite),  strawberry shortcake,  strawberry pies.........

TAKE a TOUR// lifestyle, travel, @home

PARIS or Vienna? bOTH please The idea of seeing Paris is something I think almost everyone wishes or wants to see.  Paris has always been the city of romance, fashion, museums and palaces.  But I can honestly say, I think Vienna also has a lot to offer. Here are just a few of the  amazing places. It  definitely is a city filled with stunning architecture, tons of cafes for the coffee lover, plenty of parks to wander about, a lot of green spaces and fun places too. A bit of sight seeing around the city. No1 Museums there are several amazing museums and galleries. The Belvedere , Artmusuems  Kunsthistorische , Augarten, Klimt house, Seccession, Mozart haus No2   Palaces such as the famous Schonnbrun the former Kaiser residence, the Belvedere and smaller ones within the city.   No3   Cafes  one can find so many all around the city, the more popular ones, okay. but there  are small very quaint and cozy ones to see also. popular is the Sacher cafe, Schwartzberg,  Lan

8 PRAIRIE INSPIRED DRESSES // fashion

A LITTLE BIT OF COUNTRY Country style dresses -   when i  think of prairies i think of wide open spaces, fields of gold and wildflowers,  amazing sunsets, horses and cowboy hats. When it comes to clothing it reminds me of  long maxi dresses, small floral print,  puffed sleeves.  Of course jeans are a big item but they are meant for work.   Dresses are just more  romantic , so here are a few prairie inspired dresses.   INSPIRATION GOLDEN FIELDS , WIDE OPEN   SPACES   ROLLING HILLS  & WILDFLOWERS TO RUN THROUGH.......

DARLING DENIM // fashion

DENIM not just JEANS I do like denim for its casual look, a more dressed down look,  i am not crazy for jeans -  but a denim dress is something different. I suppose i like it more in the summer because its cooler, a simple one item .  Plus denim material is breathable, lighter and a natural fibre.  Here are few denim DRESSES that caught me eye. A great simple shirt dress style, perfect for anytime.  The off white look for summer is perfect worn with simple flat sandals or heels, wicker purse and some simple jewelry.  A  BIT BOHO A lovely maxi dress cool, comfortable and a classic summer look. https://www.asos.com/jdy/jdy-denim-maxi-dress-with-cami-straps-in-blue/prd/20349217?colourwayid=60046196&SearchQuery=&cid=17396 GOTTA have COLOUR  Love this pink - fuchsia is the colour on trend. puff sleeves too https://www.asos.com/new-look-petite/new-look-petite-puff-sleeve-mini-denim-dress-in-cream/prd/20199102?colourwa

ENJOYING THE WEEKEND French style// lifestyle, decor

Hi Everyone!  Bonjour mes amis. Guten Tag meine Freunde Hard to imagine it is already the middle of June, the summer season is here. This weekend was extremely hot (at least for me) over 30C .  Would have loved to be at the swimming pools or by the water, but that will have to wait for now or for at least a few weeks.  The city is slowly opening more and more things, this week more tourist attraction sights are opening. Restaurants the limited numbers and outdoor sitting has been open for a while now. We hope to go to one of our favourites places for dinner and to have a belated birthday.  But I am still feeling nervous about the virus and a pre-condition.  So making the best of things at home is great too.  A French inspired retreat I am obsessed with lavender flowers, having visited a most beautiful lavender garden here in the city, the fragrance was heavenly . So we just had to have lavender  on the terrace to enjoy.  Nothing is more French then lavender, wicker ba

GARDENING CRAZE// lifestyle,in the city,

GARDEN GREEN THUMBS What a surprise, ever since the beginning of the lockdown people have gone wild for gardening. Buying plants, seeds to grow their own vegetables, business has been blooming literally. I can recall as kid we had a small garden where we lived, mom had tomatoes, carrots lettuce  that i recall. We also had a few fruit trees that I would climb to get a treat. Yes, there is nothing like the fresh grown things from the garden. Since moving here , I have attempted to grow some flowers, and thought I would try container gardening. Grow some cherry tomatoes, lettuce  , herbs. I was even tempted to try strawberries in one of those special planters. The gardens  are popping up everywhere .  Actually here in the city there are places known as Garden houses,  they were parcels of land that people could grow their own things. It is the same in Germany too.  And it is getting more and more popular. By us there are several such places. It was after the war that the

TEARS & FEARS// world, life

TIME TO ...... think, reflect  This post is one i wanted to write for awhile,  but there are so many bloggers talking about the BLM . I felt people will be so overwhelmed with more and  more .  Its not a easy matter and its one that really needs to change DISCRIMINATION and the brutality of man. Sadly it has not changed much , and it makes me very sad to see people being mistreated, no matter what colour, race or gender.    The world has seen many terrible things  , and especially now with the Covid , it is even worse.  People losing jobs, stress and worries are high. Political leaders need to show guidance, compassion and say NO MORE.   When will people learn? I think it starts at home it needs to be shown and learnt in schools at a young  age. There are many afro americans that have made big changes in different ways. Desmond Tutti, Martin Luther King,  rights leaders,  Mandela and many others. I am not American but I only know what i read and see in the news. W

SUMMER STYLE back to work // fashion

WHAT TO WEAR when heading back to work. Yes for some it will probably be a nice treat to return to the work place and get dressed up more. After months of being in lockdown its going to a totally different thing, seeing people and co workers. Here are a few of picks for a change of outfits for now and later. Leather is big and the skirt is great to wear later in the season , wear with little top or knit later. The print skirt , love the design print. great with a white blouse, top or t shirt. heels or flats. Pleats give a bit of chic to a look. again a nice blouse, top, and a smart belt added would be tres chic. SKIRTS . Ideal for work or anytime . Style 1 - City   chic   Style 2  - Fun print  , business look or casual    Style 3 - Chic day Style 4 . Casual day TOPS that work ,  short or long sleeve-   images HM sales
