  Devil o wears Prada 2 Yes it has been awhile since the first movie came out.  But now a new one is soon to be released .  I did enjoy  seeing actress Hathaway be transformed from a unstylish young college student to a a fashionable assistant. The designer clothes were really the best part.  Then of course there were the othe actors Tucci , blunt and of course Streep as Miranda the Editor . The all business cold editor.  Well they will be back .in  part2.  Will be interesting to see  them all together again . T HE RIGHT ONEs  Summer and the sun is something we all look forward to. Getting outside enjoying the sunshine but most important is to to protect your eyes!  I have been looking for a new pair of sunglasses.  Thinking I might get a pair of design ones, Chanel , Gucci ??  Well more importantly is to get a pair with a higher UV number .  Apparently there is no difference from a designer pair or a pair from any shop .  Other than the price.style or quality.  Looking at and trying sunglasses checking fit is important .  The style look and what suits you are all things to consider .  The UV protection is what really matters  also something I didn’t know was the side part of thin matters also. Why?  If to thin UV rays can enter and effect your eyes. So the sides of sun glasse is something else to  consider .  Enjoy the sunshine ☀️ 

  CELEBRATE PUNK DESIGNER JUST THIS month it was Vivienne Westwood's 80th birthday. The fashion designer who brought PUNK fashions to the forefront. Her designs were over the top , colourful, eccentric and I think abit wild.  She still is designing and even some of her designs were part of the Life ball held here in the past, she also designed the costumes for the ballet performance for New years.  Known for her flaming orange reddish hair , bold clothes - she is a woman of her times, the punk era of UK. JAPANESE WONDER He was one of the more interesting fashion designer that brought the Japanese fashion to Europe. Yamamoto  the man that also designed outfits for David Bowie. Bowie it seems was wild for Japan and its culture.   I also have always had a fascination for Japanese design the simplicity of it, the peaceful feeling it gives a person .  The rituals and the kimonos that are so stunning. His designs were definitely not mainstream, more like artwork or theatre pieces. So when I read that the famous designer pasted away  , it be interesting to see more of his designs. My goodness it really is a lot to comprehend .   Then there is good news, success stories and this one is really interesting and has to do with fashion.   I happened to read an article about one black woman from Africa who is a fashion designer from Rwanda. She always wanted to be a fashion designer that was her dream but she worked in film industry She  went to Germany to study film, took 2 suitcases filled with her designs and sold them all to the young Germans.  What a gutsy and super story. EVERYWHERE YOU LOOK  YOU WILL SEE THEM. ON PURSES, ON BELTS, ON SHIRTS... THE WORLD HAS GONE LOGO CRAZY. I MIGHT LOVE THE PURSES OF SOME DESIGNERS  OF COURSE,  AND ITS THE QUALITY OF THE ITEM THAT IS MORE IMPORTANT .- WELL MADE AND LONG-LASTING. FOR SOME THE IDEA OF SPENDING THOUSANDS ON A DESIGNER ITEM IS NOT POSSIBLE.  I WOULD LOVE A CLOSET FILLED WITH DESIGNER ITEMS,  THEN WHAT GIRL WOULDNT, RIGHT? BUT INSTEAD I FEEL MORE COMFORTABLE WITH SOMETHING  I WONT WORRY ABOUT SPILLING A DRINK ON, OR PEN MARKS . I HAVE HAD THAT HAPPEN, RUINED THE PURSE .  PERHAPS A SCARF, BELT OR SUNNIES ARE THE ITEM TO GET- PLUS THEY TAKE UP LESS SPACE.  AND WONT KILL YOUR BANK ACCOUNT. THE PRICE EXTRAORDINARY The world of fashion has always amazed me . As a young girl growing up and looking at fashion magazines or seeing the glamorous movies stars in the jewels and designer gowns.  The one fashion icon that always came to mind was Chanel, and Givenchy - of course the many others .  From fashion to accessories, shoes and purses, the purses of these famous designers were what the rich  collected. Now it seems every fashion blogger is carrying a Chanel bag or  some other designer bag.    The top of the pile in designer bags it seems is the Hermes bags. The great Kelly bag, named after Grace Kelly or the Birkin bag after  Jane B. Each of these purses is iconic and sought after. These bags are sold for a hefty price new . but there is another bag that  is over the top. A PERFECT PEARL I have to admit I have a big weakness for jewelry,  and most of all anything in gold with accents (thanks to my mom) She was never without her jewelry, earrings, rings or the occasional pearl accent. I do love pearls too, it is a classic.  Usually for weddings or the bride. I recently saw a designer that has  something different that doesn't look to formal, and can be worn casual style. Mizuki pearls jewelry looks simple and modern HERE are my favourites  a ring,  bracelets and other gorgeous  pieces that are simple with a modern twist.  Think i will add it to my birthday list. The jewelry is real 14k gold with pearls and some have diamond accents. Whats not to love about that combination?

FASHION WEEKS FROM NY TO LONDON The onset  of fashion weeks has started and NY fashion week with designers Kors, Beckman, CK and many others  had some  super looks that any girl can wear. For  everyday looks and  styles here are some of the fashions that I think we can all use .   LEOPARD or ANIMAL PRINTS going strong and it is considered a neutral even though it is a print. It is part of Beckham and Kors fashions ,, so why not go wild for it? I have always loved the look. But for some it is maybe to much , so start in small doses  , a pair of gloves, a shoe or scarf.   RETURN OF THE REDS the colour red is really hot for fall 2018. So i am onboard , What about you?  Something red is  a nice way to spark up a  outfit. My favourite accessories are shoes and purse in red of course. The latest in outdoor camping chic from top designers - Stella McCarthy, Prada , Kenzo  for those that want more then the average styles  here are some interesting fashions. A jacket with a built in pack or  hanging side saddles??  Not your traditional backpack for sure . Maybe not the most practical. FULL SKIRTS AND SOCKS WORN WITH IN SHOES  .( REMINDS ME OF  THE STYLES FROM THE 50s) -  BUT STILL LOOKS ELEGANT.
