France is also known well for its fine cuisine, wines, cheeses  champagne and much more.   The music of french singers  is well loved around the world , from Serge to Halliday. Edith Piaf to Charles Aznavour The French language is one of the most romantic languages and the music  makes it even more meaningful. The French Chansons .  A famous singer of the style was Aznavour.   He wrote and sang so many beautiful tunes.  The most famous sung though in English was SHE.  A tune that really would  melt hearts.  Sadly the man recently passed  he had been touring  at the age of  90s.   The songs he sang will always be played and shared young or old, He was like the Frank Sinatra of France.  Well speaking of things French, it was also  Brigitte Bardot birth...

DO YOU LOVE A GOOD MYSTERY? Well  there is nothing I love more is to read a good mystery book. Years backs,,, as a kid I would always read those Agatha Christie mysteries.  I had collected most of the books she had written  and would always pack them along when on a trip. This was before ebooks appeared.   Plus i am more a fan of a REAL book. Well getting back to the subject of mysteries, Christies books always seemed to take place in some exotic far away place filled with hot summer breezes, sunny beaches , travels by boats or trains. And there was one detective that was key to solving the crime, Hercule Poiret.  From mystery books, to television series to movies, this detective has been there.  The time of Art deco and lavish styles. 1 SHOE - changing heels Shoes, purses are  a passion for me - like a lot of women. You can never have enough shoes.Shoes for me  are the finishing to an outfit, like the icing on a cake. A great shoe can really take a outfit to another level,   if you wear jeans and add a great heel it gets a totally wow look, then a pair of runners.  I love  shoes  and have worn heels since forever , but sore feet and aching back, then its nice to change into a flat comfortable shoe. And a nice looking one. A simple thing right? Well now you can actually change your shoes look . with a click of a heel. A surprise last week  was a french fashion presentations . It was presented by the French embassy and showcased NEW designers. It began with a presentation at the embassy and more throughout the week at various fashion shops  in the city. There was a champagne night  and a show of designers new designs. A mini french show.  and some  interesting fashions to see and shop. Definitely a nice way to start  the spring season. THOSE WONDERFUL JEANS THAT WE LOVE TO WEAR DAILY. THE ONE THING THAT HAS BECOME A FASHION STABLE   and every man, woman and kid wears jeans. Everyone knows LEVI bluejeans the American made JEANS.  Well if you did not know, JEANS  or DENIM or serge de nimes had it roots in France in a area known for producing the  denim   called Nimes.  The city was big in textiles in the early 19th century and the textiles were exported to USA. Well according to history  in 1860s Levi Strauss  got the idea to use Denim for workwear and  BOOM the beginning of the DENIM JEAN. Now a days nearly all denim is produced in Asia and then made where ever into jeans. Now the idea to make JEANS or denim is about to revived in FRANCE. An entrepreneur  has start making jeans and selling  one of kind jeans. We all read  or look  at fashion magazines  and of course we all know some of the designers who made it big in Fashion.   From Diane von Furstenberg with her famous WRAP dress,  Betsy Johnson with her colorful fun quirky styles, Vivienne Westwood with the undefined looks  and the French designer Sonia Rykiel the knit Queen from the 60s. started by creating the Poor boy sweater . She also fashioned clothing with seams on the outside, left hems unfinished and slogans on sweaters.  Her sweaters were also a favorite of actress Audrey Hepburn.  She was one to  introduce knitwear to fashion runways. with bold colors,patterns and stripes. A style most women can wear and not only that - but is comfortable and stylish. I love sweater dresses and her fashions most anyone can wear. She recently died but gave the fashion runways a Pop with her fun designs. Here are some of her fashions  and you can see why it is still around today....

TO START-  A SMALL BISTRO TABLE WITH SOME BEAUTIFUL FLOWERS AND SOME SMALL BUSHES , VINES. AND OF COURSE LAVENDER. NOW WHAT IS MORE HEAVENLY THEN TO SIT OUT AND HAVE A MORNING COFFEE WHAT IS YOUR DREAM OUTDOOR GARDEN SPACE?
