SMALL THINGS in LIFE I am not sure if it is cooler weather or me getting older (can't be) but whatever it is when fall comes around its feels like it is time to bring out the candles, grab the cozy blankets ,  bake apple pies and watch movies. All of these things I love. Movies especially. I love to follow the film festivals and see what is new .  Small Things Last weekend was one of those , (after the museum visits).  Foreign films have always interested me.(though it was not so easy to find them )  This year at the Cannes film festival the films screened included those directed by Tarantino(once upon a time in hollywood), Pedro Almodovar , Boon Joon-hu and many others.  So I am curious to check them out when in theatres.  Meanwhile I found one film by Almodovar that sounded interesting and is based on the Canadian author Alice Munro. FIRST WEEK OF FALL// lifestyle culture

IN THE CITY AT FALL It is officially fall and it definitely feels like it.  After record hot temperatures in Europe we now have the normal temperatures of autumn.  The weather being not so great it was a chance to see some films, in particular the Romy Schneider movies. It happens to be the Anniversary or her birthdate Sept, 23.  For anyone not familiar with Romy, she was a international star or Europes  and Austrias darling. She became well known for the Sissi movies about the Empress Elisabeth. Later she starred in several other european films  French films with Alain Delon. Her life itself  was like a movie. I wanted to see some of her movies,  other then the Sissi one. Movies made in the 50s  , 60s and later. There is also an Austrian award named Romy. So she is truly a loved star of Austria.
