THE  ALL -IN-ONE  ROOM The Plan There is one room in my home that we have needed to work on for sometime.  It was a combination of bedroom, workspace with a desk, a shelf and cabinet unit,  4 bookcases  that were overfilled and not stable, and small sofa  and a complete mess. (my first surprise when I moved here) So we started to empty out all the books. Brought in a solid unit , a Pax and Kallax shelfs to unify and hold all the books and computer things.  Now its time to work on the rest of the space to give it a FRESH clean look. Firstly a space for guests or somewhere to sit and read.  A room that was bright, light and almost spa like. Decided on a rattan fold out , some nesting tables that are easy to move around and a spot to set a book, cup down on, some DIY pillows for colour and a nice plant.    Work out area is  set up by the windows, next to the plant-- and the massage chair for my achey back after all this work.  

 READY FOR SPRING? Its only February but it has warmed up extremely, I can forget about wearing the winter coat . Now it is time to get out the lighter coats or sweater coats. I love a nice sweater coat for days like we are having.  MORE KNITWEAR always stylish looks,to try from bows , puffarms,  stripes , pastels or ruffles there is a knit for any look. These tops are so stylish and something that will be in style for many years. Simple bows worn casual or dressed up. This knit with the bow detail, love it!   YOUNG INFLUENCERS in SOCIAL MEDIA //  fashion I ts important for anyone no matter  whether big or small, physically challenged or able to have a chance to do what they want or like, and social media is now one way some of us can show off our style or talents.  I recently read about some disabled influencers that are now able to share their styles or talents, more recently a young woman with downs syndrome was modelling . It certainly has helped with access to social media to showcase some of these interesting people.  I can relate to some those in wheelchairs, as I have relatives that are disabled from a young age. Though there was no social media then, it might have made a change for them in some ways. Though they are disabled they both have full lives  working and being involved in many things. I can recall when I visited them , how people stared or would not acknowledge them.  She would not let that bother her, she did her thing. She also loved to try beauty products that I would

 THE 1980s was the time of discos, pop stars, Bowie, and the  mullet . The one hairstyle fad that is now it seems back on the scene. Some might like it , others not.  I for one am in the latter. Its probably the worst hair cut like something I would have done to some doll that I would try to cut its hair, only to create a disaster and tears.  I have alway had a fear of anyone cutting my hair, perhaps it started as a kid when dad would sit me down and start to trim my bangs for school pictures. Okay it wasn't so bad but sometimes the cut was to short. I recall one hairdresser chopping my hair off to a pixie cut , the Twiggy look. As a young girl it didn't matter much but as a teenager it was a disaster. That is when i got into wearing a sun hat for the summer, till the hair grew out.   Needless to say I still have a fear of sissors and salons.  History repeats itself THE MULLET   Todays version of a mullet  worn by Miley Cyrus,  her dad Billy Ray ( country singer)was one to wear

 Hi Everyone  how are things there, wherever you are?  So many places have been hit with snowstorms, from Spain to Greece, parts of the USA too.  The winter SNOW is really something i miss , where I am there is hardly any snow.  That is one thing i miss wintertime and the fun things to do , plus it keeps a person active and healthy.  Weather Change Hurray, finally the weather changed to cooler temperatures for a few days, there was even more snow which for me is a BIG thing. I love it when it snows, seeing the dull brown grass covered with fluffy white snow is a delight. Plus with the colder temperatures I could wear my new winter coat. I absolutely love it, its perfect length and the hood trimmed with fur is another wonderful thing. Yes a small thing like snow and a new coat made my week. What about Carnival? well we can't travel anywhere with lockdowns in effect, I thought it be fun to at least try and have a Carnival at home day.  Any excuse to have fun is important for ones me

 VALENTINES DAY is soon here.... 💕💝 so what to do for this special day.  If you are on your own its also important to treat yourself to some special care. or if you , friends, family or partner have some plans for the Special day its important to share that with each other. ITS all about sharing the LOVE A box of chocolates or something yummy is always a good idea. or  a  lovely bouquet of flowers will always   be appreciated  or BOTH!    What girl wouldn't love that?  Whether ii is chocolates or flowers its the thought , the effort and chance to show the love for that special someone in your life.  BEAUTY TREATMENTS ( at home versions) PAMPER YOURSELF A day spent having a special treatment  like a spa day is one that anyone would love. Get out the soft fluffy towels, bath oils,  and fragrant lotions to sooth the dry skin. Don't forget the  scented candles.  What a treat!  One of my special treats is having a manicure , at home.  RED is the colour I love to wear for the day.

 FUNTIME in FEBRUARY Yes its the month  of CARNIVAL. time to celebrate!  Something to really have fun with, find a special costume and mask to wear. There is nothing like Carnival or Fasching as it is called in German .  Its a chance to have some fun, wear funny silly costumes or something more classic. The most famous of all Carnivals I think is the one in Venice , Italy. Nothing compares to a trip to Venice during Carnival.   Here Fasching is for all ages, children dress up and participate with bands playing. Its a celebration dating back hundreds of years. And is held in many countries in Europe - also around the world. It starts on the 11/11 at 11;11AM  So why not have a little fun, raid your closets or find a costume to wear , and enjoy the month of Carnival. Anything to keep one happy and a nice change.

BLACK OR WHITE?''' I finally found a winter coat that suits my style, I wanted something that can be worn casually or dressed up. preferably with a hood. Then I found it! I didn't really want to get a jacket with a hood, as I like to wear dresses and a coat was more useful for me. Strange thing, now that I have it the weather has warmed up extremely 11C for highs, so really to warm to wear now. ( at least for me)  Nice to wear for strolling along the city streets,  The coat is light weight, simple style with snaps and belt . The hood is perfect for windy days, which we had recently, so keeps ones head warm and cozy.  Only problem i couldnt decide  black or white?  so ordered both to try. WINTER WHITES  a popular pick , as it is nice choice and many bloggers these days are wearing white in winter - whites are not only for summer.   SOLID BLACK  a classic look, never out of fashion. Also a more practical choice.  

A BIT OF BLING  Hi Everyone,  Now that the month of January flew by  its another extended lockdown here, Better to keep safe then sorry. There were new rules, one of them is that everyone MUST wear  proper facemarks, medical versions, NO HANDMADE . So of course we immediately got them , they were available at all the grocery stores.  A much better idea to wear a PROPER mask! So moving on to something more fun to wear,,,, JEWELRY.  One of my favourite things. This year the looks seem to be for more chunky looks, which I don't mind really.  I like to have different pieces to wear to change a look of an outfit. Well we aren't out as much now or wearing our usual work outfits, jewelry is at least a simple easy change.  Here are a few pieces to inspire us.     images  zara hm
