 FUNTIME in FEBRUARY Yes its the month  of CARNIVAL. time to celebrate!  Something to really have fun with, find a special costume and mask to wear. There is nothing like Carnival or Fasching as it is called in German .  Its a chance to have some fun, wear funny silly costumes or something more classic. The most famous of all Carnivals I think is the one in Venice , Italy. Nothing compares to a trip to Venice during Carnival.   Here Fasching is for all ages, children dress up and participate with bands playing. Its a celebration dating back hundreds of years. And is held in many countries in Europe - also around the world. It starts on the 11/11 at 11;11AM  So why not have a little fun, raid your closets or find a costume to wear , and enjoy the month of Carnival. Anything to keep one happy and a nice change.

DO YOU LIKE TO DRESS UP? As a kid we probably liked to dress up, trying different things, or playing different characters. And of course it was always fun to wear costumes.  Do you recall your most favourite outfit?   Well later this month it is time to dress up in costumes.  IT'S CARNIVAL TIME!! 🎉🎈🎊 I t hink everywhere in the world everyone loves a carnival, from young to old. This is one event that is really popular and a fun time. There are several places to go to , one place that holds a parade is at the Prater Amusement park. Its usually filled with people all dressed in costumes  for FASCHING , as it is called in german. There are live marching bands, music and dances held throughout the country. CARNIVAL IN MARCH Where did the month of February go? It is already March and I am feeling overwhelmed, just last weekend the Ball of the season was held and now in Austria starts the carnival week or FASSCHING as it is known here.  It is a funtime for everyone a Costume party for young and old when they dress up in costumes. Nowadays  the costumes can be almost anything, from comic heroes to fantasy .  Whatever you can imagine. Fasching dates back to the Middle ages so its history is long.  So many European countries celebrate carnival from Italy, germany to those held in Brazil.  So  it really is a worldwide event. Well getting back to a costume , I think my simplest idea is doing a 60s theme - a Hippie look, with a lot of  long beads, headband, fringed vests  and tinted glasses. See what i can find in the closet to work with.
