WHAT'S UP?? October //events

OCTOBER the best time for the tastebuds! I could not wait to share some of the things to do in the city. And of course its some great things  to tempt the tastebuds. Firstly the city is known for its GREAT coffee houses and there are so many to try. Coffee houses are the heart of Vienna from the famous Sacher Cafe to Landtmann  and many, many more.  Not only are coffeehouses important but the  museums throughout are amazing  . So October is really really a great time of year too. I love fall so this will be a great way to start the season. FALL FUN and more Just a fews things to see, do and end the summer with. FASHIONS  FASHIONS AND MORE FASHIONS if you are keen to take in the VFS at the MQ then mark your calendar the event kicks off on  11th and runs till the 17th. A lot to  see , new fashion designers and pop up shops to check out. So off we go see what will be the fashion for here. BAYWATCH FANS for the ladies that maybe like to see the star of the series , now is your chance to see David Hasselhoff  inperson . September 2nd   as part of the Stadtfest. HOT IN THE CITY literally we are experiencing a HEATWAVE.  So i would say the most popular place to be these days is by water or at the swimming pools.  But if you are keen to try something different or sport event  Heres where to go. SPORTLOVERS AND VOLLEYBALL The Donauinsel is alway a popular place to go for picnics, cycling , strolls or sunbathing but you can also catch the World Championship   Volleyball games are now being played at the Donauinsel, world class players competing. Just make sure to bring sunhat and sun creams .  Public viewing is also available in the city. Check wien tourist info for locations. ONE YEAR OLD PARTY The twins are a year old ,  August 7. Well the month of April has arrived with warm temps and some rain. Like the saying goes.. …..April showers brings May flowers. So a new idea for the blog I thought might be interesting  is , What's up ?  A sort of mini guide tips to somethings happening around  town . So to start  the month of April the Royals are  arriving this week and for anyone interested you might see them by the Hofburg . Cherry Blossom event on the Donau island held on April 20 - it is part of the cultural exchange between Japan and Austria,  and  cherry trees in bloom would be a amazing sight. Special presentation with music, dance,  Origami and more. OSTERMARKT  or Easter events   are several, from concerts to markets.  The Schonnbrunn Zoo is the  one place to start, with the Easter Egg hunt or the Schloss Hof each weekend of April has a Fruhling Springtime festival. 2000 eggs to find .  So get your baskets .
