LIFE LATELY - Time to Travel// Lifestyle

TRAVELLING AGAIN? Last weekend was a long weekend , so what to do? Well the weather was not so great, No plans for enjoying the outdoors.  Watched  some classic films with Audrey,  the Breakfast at Tiffany's, then her major film role the Roman Holiday film. First time I have seen it, so was amazing to see a young Audrey. She was only 24 years old  when she made it and she won the Oscars best actress award.   Which brings me to the  idea of Travel.  Rome , Venice or  Paris?   Lately its been reported the people are booking trips or taking trips to the sunny, warm places like Italy, Spain and Greece , now that many have been vaccinated. I prefer to wait till later before we travel anywhere.  Will be nice to just take some time and enjoy the city again,  For now  a staycation is a good idea. NATURE in CITY Well talking about the city, I came across an interest webpage with a live cam of nesting Falcons.  There is someth...

FASHION on FILM// fashion, lifestyle

FEELING BORED? WHAT ABOUT A MOVIE? Yes being inside the four walls for weeks can get to one,  but I found watching a movie or two one of the ways to keep ones mind off the situation. So I thought I would like to see something  fashion related. Especially now when the idea of going shopping for fashion is not possible. Thought it would inspire me to get more dressed up or at least make an effort. Perhaps even spark a interest to get something new for summer. Even if just for wearing at home. COCO before CHANEL One film I had seen years ago was about Coco Chanel , a look at her early life from a young girl who learnt to sew well living in a convent, to meeting the rich and opening her first shop.  And the rest is history. the film is worth watching for the scenery and lifestyle back then So I will enjoy getting to see it again     DEVIL WEARS PRADA Another one that we all know is with Anne Hathaway and Meryl St...

MEDITATION & MOVIES

HOW TO KEEP SANE, WELL ISOLATING Well many of us are now doing the self isolation or social distancing  , there will no doubt there will be days where after some time we get CABIN FEVER. One of my many things I like to do especially now is meditate . There is something so calming, relaxing and energizing about letting your mind clear away the stress and aniexty , or even lack of good sleep  via meditating. one of my favourite  youtube  sites is one called ZEN garde n,  the videos are really ideal to calm the soul, there are several to listen to. It is one of my most listened to mediation videos. At night when having trouble to sleep it is magic, soothes one completely.  Really recommend these for anyone who feels stressed. MAKE IT A MOVIE NIGHT OR WEEKEND The other way to unwind are   movies , there is nothing like a good movie to make one  feel good.  Whether it is romance, action or comedy. Here are few of my favourite...

INSPIRATION & MOVIES// Lifestyle

THE WEEKEND  :::: Happy Leap Day Feb 29th It's the weekend and time to unwind. One of the most enjoyable ways for me  are movies. Some movies are so , so  and others are memorable! Some are also very inspiring! They can  inspire one in many different ways, to dream , to learn , to travel and explore or even write.  One film I was inspired with is one about NASA - set in the late 1960s called HIDDEN FIGURES . It was an amazing film about women that worked as scientists at NASA.  One of those women was Katherine Johnson, she was a mathematician.  Well just recently she died at the age of 101.   Hers was a an amazing story and life. That film was very interesting and enlightening. I have always found things interesting when visiting  a planetarium , or when there are solar or moon eclipses.  So to watch this film was truly amazing about the life and work of each of them.  Of course there are many more space films, most ...

ENJOYING the WEEKEND// Lifestyle, events, Travel

🎭🎭SHOWTIME EVERYONE!🎥🎥 The best thing about summer in the city are all the outdoor events held, from sporty to cultural. There is something for everyone. My favourite thing to do during the summer is to check out the film events .  Films from classic to comedy.....  the French comedies are hilarious and not to forget the Italian films. Recently the famous Italian direct Franco Zeffirelli died. He was famous for his Shakespeare films like, Taming of the Shrew or Romeo and Juliet - one of my favourites and a great classic. A must see!! WHERE TO SEE The most visited place would be the one by the city hall Rathaus, but there are plenty more interesting places to check out and each has a different theme of films,  some are mysteries, or comedies. French, German or Italian , English too. Films in the Park  ðŸŽ¥ðŸŽ¥ at the  Augarten   june 27 - August 25 The baroque style garden is somewhere to stroll and is popular with j...

HAPPY JULY // lifestyle

JULY  & SUMMER HOLIDAYS Well the summer holidays are in full swing, the kids are out of school and the summer fun begins. Whether it is going to the local pool or  swimming at the lake, it is always nice to take a break from the city.  That was always the most fun as a kid, packing up the car for trip to the seaside or lakes. And of course , all the  summer movies were something else to look forward too. I have to say the month of July there are  so many interesting events - number 1 are all the great outdoor movies held in the parks, at the city hall and many other places. I have always loved a good movie.  So the latest movies are out and hope to see a few, before going on holidays. One that looks funny is all about swimming ,  how appropriate. A British comedy called   Swimming with Men .  A group  of men that are synchronized swimmers.  Cannot help  but imagine the swimming outfits......... ...
