THE WEEKEND  :::: Happy Leap Day Feb 29th It's the weekend and time to unwind. One of the most enjoyable ways for me  are movies. Some movies are so , so  and others are memorable! Some are also very inspiring! They can  inspire one in many different ways, to dream , to learn , to travel and explore or even write.  One film I was inspired with is one about NASA - set in the late 1960s called HIDDEN FIGURES . It was an amazing film about women that worked as scientists at NASA.  One of those women was Katherine Johnson, she was a mathematician.  Well just recently she died at the age of 101.   Hers was a an amazing story and life. That film was very interesting and enlightening. I have always found things interesting when visiting  a planetarium , or when there are solar or moon eclipses.  So to watch this film was truly amazing about the life and work of each of them.  Of course there are many more space films, most are science fiction some are based on an event. 

 A LOVELY SPRING REFRESHER It definitely is feeling like spring here with the weather being unusually warm for the month. And with the feeling of spring around the corner the urge to freshening up the place is one thing I love to do. Well are you ready to add a few new items to your space this spring? SPRING REFRESHER LEMONS   PALMS   BRASS HIGHLIGHTS So for starters a few decorative changes.  Nothing says SPRING more then lemons - to imagine the smell of fresh lemons, a small tree filled with lemons.  YES that would be ideal!  Time for some lemonade or Limoncello .  Then of course a few decorative palm trees like this one. Another nice deco are things in brass or with gold details .  A tray or two to hold personal items or a cup of tea. Then few added details like a picture frame,  a stunning mirror for any room  Lastly   a few flower vases ,  plus of course a scented candle (lemon scented of course).

THE GRANDE BALL of the SEASON Yes the ball of all balls was held , and seeing it live is one event one will always remember.(if you are lucky) But even to see  live on tv is fun. To see the gorgeous GOWNS , the magical place filled with beautiful flowers , music and champagne is fabulous. This  years flowers the colours  were purple, pinks, deep reds and greens, which was a wonderful combination. THE RED CARPET   the entrance and staircase overflowing  with more flowers was rolled out for the guests and there  were hundreds to see  all dressed in their finery. SCENES of a BALL HOPE you enjoyed to see some of photos  from this years opernball. It is really a very magical moment and place to visit anytime. image orf

DO YOU LIKE TO DRESS UP? As a kid we probably liked to dress up, trying different things, or playing different characters. And of course it was always fun to wear costumes.  Do you recall your most favourite outfit?   Well later this month it is time to dress up in costumes.  IT'S CARNIVAL TIME!! 🎉🎈🎊 I t hink everywhere in the world everyone loves a carnival, from young to old. This is one event that is really popular and a fun time. There are several places to go to , one place that holds a parade is at the Prater Amusement park. Its usually filled with people all dressed in costumes  for FASCHING , as it is called in german. There are live marching bands, music and dances held throughout the country. ITs really one event to see., whether you dress up or not. My favourite place to see carnival is Italy, The costumes  are amazing and so beautiful.  Have you been to Carnival or dressed up for it? image

FUN THINGS in FEBRUARY 🎩🎶💃 This month will be one filled with some very exciting events . February is all about dressing up, in many different ways. Firstly it is the ball season , so the setting is formal wear.  The grande dame of the Ball season is the Opernball held every year near the end of the month. Its held in the magnificent opera house , a very ornate and beautiful building built in the 1860s is located in the centre (easy to get  to). The opera house will be the showcase of the city with many people attending, the usual officials, businesses,  stars and celebrities. This years invited celebrity was Lindsey Vonn , but she was unable to attend. Instead an Italian movie star will be the guest. Past famous guests were Sophia Loren, Hilary Swank,  Goldie Hawn and many others.  🌸  MY SPRING WISH LIST 🌸 🍃🍃🍃🍃🍃 Only February and I am already counting the days till spring. I know it seems a bit early, but we had some great weather last week and it made me feel like sitting out at the cafes and enjoying the sunshine and warm temperatures.   Also the urge to find some new things to wear has been on the agenda. I have more less limited my shopping these days, waiting to see or get things I really need, and avoiding the  - why did I get that?  So here are a few things that will be a great add on to the wardrobe The SHIRT with a twist  like the length and the tie front CHILLY WEATHER  a great puffer coat with the hood FOR the Rainy DAYS  the perfect trench coat whats not to like about that. SHOES   a stylish pair of flats works well with the other pieces. WHAT ARE SOMETHINGS YOU LOOKING TO ADD TO YOUR WARDROBE  FOR SPRING??

Valentines day movie marathon.  💘💕💖💝 Something I love to enjoy during the cold winter days and when it is a special day is to watch movies. And romantic love stories  are perfect, especially for Valentines Day. Here are just a few that are worth seeing. Somethings got to giv e, comedy romance. I love to see the house , a ideal seaside retreat.  My favourite part. As good as it gets -  a grumpy old man,  a single mom and the cutest dog.  Love dogs, so have to watch it for that alone. Sleepless in Seattle  an all time favourite, with adorable Meg Ryan. Two singles meeting by chance, thanks to a radio talk show and son. Whats not to love about that? Ghost ,  but not spooky, a love story with something different. Love Story ,  college romance, tender love and emotions of college sweethearts. Breakfast at Tiffanys  - whats not to love, NY, Tiffanys and Audrey. A truly heartwarming , feel good movie. Some oldies but goodies🎥🎥 Casa
