A SPA DAY at HOME Treat yourself, why not? What better way to relax  then treat yourself to a home spa day! Europeans are known for their spas and resorts. Almost all Germans and Austrians take time to go to a spa. It is part of their lifestyle , their regime winter or  summer. At home you can treat yourself to your own Spa. Starting with  some lush towels,  room diffuser using a essential oil, some zen music and candles. Sounds perfect. But another thing that is perfect for spa day is using the old fashion treatments , Epsom salts.  whether it is the colder damp weather or overdoing things - the aches and pains are not the best feeling. For now I do the RICE treatment, rest, ice, compress and  excerises. But the best thing I found works is a nice hot bath and the old favourite of epsom salts . My mom alway had bag of salts in the bathroom, She said it works to relax sore muscles . So it has been the treatment of lately. Epsom salts have magnesium which is

A EUROPEAN THING- THERMAL SPAS Almost every european takes  a spa vacation - especially the Germans or Austrians. They are well accustomed to have a week exclusively for spas. Part of the cultural lifestyle of most. Winter or summer it certainly is  a nice idea . I suppose this is how the idea spread to North America, immigrants from Europe introduced the idea , just like the saunas of Finland. So here are some spa places in different parts of Austria.

FASHION WEEKS FROM NY TO LONDON The onset  of fashion weeks has started and NY fashion week with designers Kors, Beckman, CK and many others  had some  super looks that any girl can wear. For  everyday looks and  styles here are some of the fashions that I think we can all use .   LEOPARD or ANIMAL PRINTS going strong and it is considered a neutral even though it is a print. It is part of Beckham and Kors fashions ,, so why not go wild for it? I have always loved the look. But for some it is maybe to much , so start in small doses  , a pair of gloves, a shoe or scarf.   RETURN OF THE REDS the colour red is really hot for fall 2018. So i am onboard , What about you?  Something red is  a nice way to spark up a  outfit. My favourite accessories are shoes and purse in red of course. FEBRUARY DULL , NEVER. February sometimes is a bit of dull month, with rain or snow and not much happening. But for some fun there is FASCHING . What is that?, you ask. Well it is Carnival time in some places. Something similar to carnival in Italy is held in Germany and Austria also.  It is a chance  to dress up in  costumes and masks. Maybe a Masquerade party is more like it. People dress up in all sorts of costumes and revel the night . There are parties, performers, comedy acts and so on.  Parades even are held at the famous Prater Amusement park. From parades to food,  the one treat that is popular this time of year is called Krapfen- a bit like a filled doughnut with a vanilla, fruit or a chocolate cream filling. A big favourite. Well it is always a fun to beat the winter doldrums  and just have a fun time, whether you want to dress up or not. HAPPY FA SSCHING  !

WINTER BLUES , BEAT IT WITH COLOUR! Some of us maybe are starting to feel the winter blues, long dark days , cold winds and snow can be a drudgery. So what to do about it? One thing I find is colour, be it a scarf, top or handbag. It not only uplifts the spirit but also adds some wow to a winter outfit - especially if you have a all black or darker outfits in the winter season. So maybe a nice stripe top under the winter coat is something to try? What do you say. Here are a few  I think would be great for the winter blues.
