CARNIVAL IN MARCH Where did the month of February go? It is already March and I am feeling overwhelmed, just last weekend the Ball of the season was held and now in Austria starts the carnival week or FASSCHING as it is known here.  It is a funtime for everyone a Costume party for young and old when they dress up in costumes. Nowadays  the costumes can be almost anything, from comic heroes to fantasy .  Whatever you can imagine. Fasching dates back to the Middle ages so its history is long.  So many European countries celebrate carnival from Italy, germany to those held in Brazil.  So  it really is a worldwide event. Well getting back to a costume , I think my simplest idea is doing a 60s theme - a Hippie look, with a lot of  long beads, headband, fringed vests  and tinted glasses. See what i can find in the closet to work with. 

SURELY ONE CAN FIND SOMETHING HERE?? A WONDERFUL PLACE TO SEE OR SMELL, CHOCOLATES GALORES. AA A DEFINITE PLACE TO FIND BEAUTIFUL ONE OF KIND PIECES FAMOUS FOR THE AUSTRIAN OUTFITS , KIDS ONES ARE SO ADORABLE. A CARRIAGE RIDE AROUND THE CITY IS ALWAYS SOMETHING TO DO. FRESH FLOWERS WINTER DISPLAY

THE MONTH OF FEBUARY IS FULL OF EVENTS   BEGINNING WITH  ALL THE BALLS HELD THROUGHOUT THE CITY, SOME YOU CAN SEE ON MY POSTS . BUT ONE EVENT THAT IS MORE OF A FUN EVENT IS FASCHING OR CARNIVAL SEASON, HELD THROUGH MOST OF EUROPE - BUT ONE OF THE MOST AMAZING ONES ARE THOSE HELD IN ITALY, VENICE. TO SEE THE  MOST COLOURFUL  COSTUMES IS AMAZING. YOU CAN NOT TURN AROUND WITH OUT SEEING ANOTHER BEAUTIFUL OUTFIT, LADIES DRESSED IN THE MOST ASTONISHING GOWNS  AND MASKS…. THE ONE THING I FIND SO EXQUISITE   , THE REAL CARNIVAL  LOOKS
