TIMELESS LOOKS Well the month of July is the start of the summer holidays for the kids , it is also the month USA celebrates the 4st of July, as well as Canada where they celebrate on the 1st.  So to both,  Happy Celebrations everyone.  July first also reminds me of one person in particular, Diana , Princess of Wales. She was born on July 1st and around the world was a person that was much loved and certainly a fashion ICON.  From the young girl of 18 to the ever stylish woman. A SUMMERNIGHT DREAM...... All you have to do is close your eyes and imagine a magnificent garden with flowers laid out in patterns of musical notes, shiny coloured lights lighting up the night sky ,  a magnificent palace in the background  and the sound of an orchestra.  Yes , that is the highlight of the start of the summer concert se ason. The marvellous S ummernight Concert that is performed very summer at the Schoenbrunn palace is one of the major attractions for us and the many tourists that visit this beautiful city. A GREAT WAY TO START SUMMER! This year it was a Gershwin review and the star performer was the  pianist  Yuja Wang. FASHIONS of FORTUNY When one thinks of Italy one might think of the designers like Prada,  Valentino, D&G and others. Another famous designer who's design were made popular in the early 1900s  and worn by movie stars and Parisian fashion , was Mariano Fortuny. The designs are reminisce of  ancient Grecian style of  the long flowing lines, minimalist  look that is popular now in  fashion. Simple lines that drape over the shape.  Dresses made of fine delicate silk and so finely pleated . It was the rage of the time. Fortuny was a master in many things other then fashion design. He also was a stage designer,  Fortuny also worked on textile designs with his French wife.  FASHION EXHIBITION For anyone who loves fashion and loves to travel  there is a exhibition of his designs being held in Venice at the Palazzo Fortuny held until November.

A FUN YOUTUBER📹 👛💄👗👠👓 I am not all the much of a youtube watcher, other then for music.  There are so many tubers online, from beauty to travel ; but this one youtuber I had to see.  She is a senior but not by any means your  average senior.  So I thought i would share this with you. 🎬🎉🎉🎈 An absolutely fun and interesting lady, and with the  help of her granddaughter is  mega popular.  They travel , do crazy things and just have a fun time together.   You can check out Korea Grandmother , she is a doll  and so cute! 🎭🎭SHOWTIME EVERYONE!🎥🎥 The best thing about summer in the city are all the outdoor events held, from sporty to cultural. There is something for everyone. My favourite thing to do during the summer is to check out the film events .  Films from classic to comedy.....  the French comedies are hilarious and not to forget the Italian films. Recently the famous Italian direct Franco Zeffirelli died. He was famous for his Shakespeare films like, Taming of the Shrew or Romeo and Juliet - one of my favourites and a great classic. A must see!! WHERE TO SEE The most visited place would be the one by the city hall Rathaus, but there are plenty more interesting places to check out and each has a different theme of films,  some are mysteries, or comedies. PUT SOME SHINE ON THEM I love the look of a nice  nail polish anytime,  but there are days like it seems like to much fuzz . The one thing I don't like is when the polish starts to chip and retouching does not look great. The shades of nail polishes are so stunning and the selection of colours  unimaginable. I usually stick  with lighter shades, nothing to dark,  and of course a  red polish on occasion. (like a pop of colour sometimes) Lately i have tried to keep  a more natural look using a clear polish just to add some shine to the nails- plus it doesn't look as bad if it chips slightly. And it also protects the nails. Another fun polish I like are ones with a bit of sparkle, in a neutral shade.  Looks nice on hands and feet, especially when wearing sandals. THE HEATWAVE HAS ARRIVED!!!! We had another long weekend here. It is always nice to have a break and be able to take a few small weekend trips or work on things around the home .... but  and this is one thing about the month of June over here- the temperatures.  Never would I have expected such HOT weather in Austria. I think more Arizona or Asia or Australia for hot places. Again the summer heatwave is hitting Europe. I never thought it be so bad, I can recall being out in 32 degree weather , but it was a drier heat . Over here it is sweltering and humid... a killer! The morning temperature of 28C  before 9 and humidity of 67% is NOT for me!! We were thinking to taking the  river cruise to Bratislava  a short trip of 75 minutes for weekend, but  the heat was to much to handle.  So instead we watched the French open tennis final; what an exciting game.  The young Austrian player Dominic Thiem is one to watch. He is now top 4 in the world, not bad  to be part of the N

ALL THE THINGS I LOVE THIS SUMMER💿 Yes its the first week of June  and it really feels like summer now, with the hot weather we are getting. I really am not fond of the heat, so for me it is important to be cool and comfortable.   Finding clothes that are comfortable and cool are crucial. Of course the looser the fit the better and the type of material it is made of is another important factor. The summer trends that work for me   The SLIP DRESS, YES! The one nice thing about this is how easy to wear, light and comfortable a slip dress is. I don't have to decide what top to wear with one, but also it is so easy to slip on!  If one does not like the satin look, then another style in a nice print  perhaps a gingham or another fabric, whether cotton or linen.      Keeping COOL in the summer is number 0NE! SUN HATS and SUNSCREEN We all know how important sunscreen is, it is a must! I also like the idea of a sunhat when out walking  or sitting

NOT DEAD YET..... life is good! This is one statement I have to agree with and what really  made it special it was the Phil Collins concert held here last weekend.  The start of his first European concert held here. We went to see him perform and I will say it was amazing to  hear the songs live.   After all he is a world famous musician , composer, grammy winner and oscar winner (and recently a doctorate was presented to him in Austria). The only thing that stunned me was to see him in a wheelchair... but what does it matter. After all he is getting older, but he is not dead yet as the tour is called. The man is amazing and really if you like the genesis and their tunes-   then you have to see the concert. The opening performance was Mike & the Mechanics. also very good.
