HOME PROJECTS  Hi Everyone! By now many places have opened more things and we  have a sense of normalcy in our lives. Hope things are going well wherever you are. IDEAS for OUTSIDE The week flew by so, so fast, we or I have been buzy  working on a new project for outside. I mentioned it awhile back that our yard has a backyard  shower which is basic , nothing fancy but to open for my liking , also it lacks places to hang things . i.e. towels  etc.   So I was hoping to make a screened in area and place to install some hooks to hold things.  Like the idea of a slatted enclosure that allows air to circulate through it, also cedar is ideal as it does not rot. MORE FLOWERS I received some rose plants last month that were so lovely.b ut now they are totally finished which totally made me sad. So simple and easy .  Now i am  collecting bottles suitable to make more.  Finding the right type of bottle with a narrow opening ,  some bamboo sticks, essential oils , water and a carrier oil.    It suggested one can use vodka  as a carrier, the alcohol helps to dissipate the oil. 9 SIMPLE IDEAS TO GET A FALL FANTASY LOOK  The ground is covered with golden leaves, and I cleared away the dead flowers, set up the DIY composting  getting ready for fall. Fall is the time when everything takes a rest, settling in for the cozy nights inside our homes. NOT TO BELIEVE... SAFETY FIRST I am no beauty expert or someone who experiments with things, when it is to do with skin care or other treatments.  I have to say there are some things that i certainly would NOT dare try or even think to try., they are simply to, to dangerous. For example a few years back it was the thing to enhance ones butt, the BIG BUTT thing. Women or girls were going to places to have injections that were not safe or done by a doctor.  Some of these women died from these injections that were home repair products like silicon used as sealant. NOW it seems on TIK TOK  there are more dangerous  DIY beauty tips. SMILEY WHITES Some are mentioning one can use bleach to whiten your teeth.  Bleach can be a dangerous product if not used properly or safely. IT is NOT for whitening  teeth!!  There are products available for that in the pharmacy. Especially now when people are stuck at home  more, and think to try some...

DOING SOME THINGS  while in lockdown SELF CARE & DIYs A FEW small SEWING PROJECTS I will say it has been a chance these last weeks to get into finding new things to do or try. Last week it was a requirement that we have to wear masks when going to the grocery stores or pharmacy, also when taking public transport. So making  face masks was something to do , luckily I received as a gift a new sewing machine which I have used a few times.  This time it was for making face masks and some lavender sachets. simple things that make a difference! The lavender sachets are for the  lavender I have dried and can hang in the closet, it is such a divine fragrance. The smell is also helps to sleep if you are having trouble to sleep. It is such a soothing smell. I use to sew a lot before, things for kids, summer shorts and hats, baby quilts etc. Now getting back into sewing is a bit like therapy. HOW TO REALLY ENJOY THE WONDERFUL WINTERLAND that is one way to look at... others might not agree. Some parts of Europe  have been  hit by excessive amounts of snow up to 3M . Roads are closed , ski hills  and avalanche warnings are extreme.  So well we dig out from the snow , i think about  times when I lived where it was so cold snowy , i call polar conditions. The only way to survive is keep warm , enjoy it the best you can or stay in.  MY ideal winter plan is to enjoy it and do things that are fun. Bring out  the XC skis,  the backpack and thermos.  Dress warm and  have FUN. Some ways to really enjoy the winter outdoors,  WAYS TO ENJOY WINTER OUTDOORS  BACKYaRD FUN Set up fire pit , roast marshmallows or frankfurters , or beans.
