Hi Everyone!

By now many places have opened more things and we have a sense of normalcy in our lives. Hope things are going well wherever you are.

IDEAS for OUTSIDE

The week flew by so, so fast, we or I have been buzy working on a new project for outside. I mentioned it awhile back that our yard has a backyard shower which is basic , nothing fancy but to open for my liking , also it lacks places to hang things . i.e. towels etc. So I was hoping to make a screened in area and place to install some hooks to hold things.

Like the idea of a slatted enclosure that allows air to circulate through it, also cedar is ideal as it does not rot.

MORE FLOWERS

I received some rose plants last month that were so lovely.but now they are totally finished which totally made me sad. I watered them when needed , set them in a sunny spot and still they withered up completely. Only thing I think is the water is the issue.

So for now I am getting fake flowers for inside- these look lovely .

TALKING DIY

I happened to read a very interesting article about the dangers of DIYing.

With the lockdown people were getting into doing more DIY project around their places.

From painting to making things , wood projects.

Well there were some interesting points made, how the dust from wood can be inhaled into your lungs and damages them, just the smaller amount of wood dust.

Also the things of sanding wood surfaces or paint, one needs to wear a face mask so

you don't breathe in the fine particle.

MET GALA 2024// fashion , MET gala

Fashions at the Met The time is here to see the fabulous fashions that are from this years Met Gala .Always aan eye popper and this year the theme was flowers botanical looks. Some very interesting creative fashions, especially if you love flowers. My favorite look was Demi Moore’s gorgeous gown a really stunning dress.. The bold big floral print on the dress was wow! I loved it! And she looked beautiful in it. The other gowns were lovely too. Men in floral print slacks to fun shoes . Something for everyone tastes. Flying high // travel

B Time to Fly Sumer holidays are around the corner and deciding where to go or what to pack can e daunting experience. So what to pack ? Well after reading how some airlines charge passenger to check the baggage. First I believe the budget airlines started , but now the big name ones have also started to charge it! American Airlines , southwest , Air Canada . And the extra cost if is a jackpot for the airlines. I have not travel with the budget lines but have used some of the others mentioned and I won’t be booking any trips with them! Really what do they think? If the operate a service to transport you and your belongs that should be included , NOT an extra expense. Give you an idea of what they collect in these extra fees then read this report via BBC. Truthfully people need to tell these companies NO . Even a handbag is next to the list. They are making BILLIONS from from these extra fees!...

THIS and THAT//fashion , festival

Season Changes Well it has finally cooled down which makes it bearable to be outside. Naturally the swimming pools , lakes and rivers have seen plenty o people . Festivals , Films and Fashion The festival season is winding down, but one that I anxiously wait for is the Venice Film festival. A movie and fashion lover can’t miss it! The return of Clooney on screen in Venice with his gorgeous wife is a highlight. Her fabulous fuchsia gown with the train was stunning . She stole the show! Of course there were other stars on the red carpet but no outstanding dresses . Movies some are getting mentioned . For myself I’m not sure what I be tempted to watch. Julia Roberts new one about college professor sexual harassment is a serious topic . Not light entertainment. One film with Helen mirren, pierce Brosnan about senior mystery book club sounds like light entertainment. The actors are all over 60 , s...
