LIFE LATELY in LOCKDOWN #3 // lifestyle

Hi EVERYONE  How are things in your part of the world? Are you handling the lockdowns well or ready to escape to some sunny place? More then anything, I am missing going out to the museums , library , bookstores and sitting in one of the many wonderful Cafehouses in the city. There are so many grand Cafe houses in Vienna. Its definitely one of the favourite things people love to do here.  But I won't complain, it could be worse. Meanwhile I have been enjoying watching some very interesting foreign  movies.   F irst off was an Italian film  Il Postino (the postman) set in the 1950s in Sicily  where  a famous poet  is living in exile. Well he gets so much mail, the local post office needs someone to deliver his mail. The poet befriends the postman and helps him by writing poems that the postman want to give to a girl working in a cafe.   A touching romance story. A nother film was from India, called the LUNCHBOX . Again a very interesting touching film where a young married woman ea

FOR THE LOVE OF PURSES // fashion, accessories

WHO LOVES PURSES??  HANDS UP I for one love  purses,  most are simple inexpensive bags.  A mix of leather or fabrics. Everyday bags to evening bags.  A few are my favourites ,  but it is always nice to have a change. I can recall my mom was a purse fein .. she had a Chanel bag that my sis received, I was to young to appreciate the value of a Chanel then (plus I thought they looked for the older person) . Now they are worth more.  ;My choice of bag back then would be a Gucci.   So now designer handbags are the thing to have. There have been so many iconic bags, the Hermes Birkin or Kelly bag. The amazing designs of Alexander McQueen ,  Leiber bags are so unique like pieces of art.   The bags are like works of art and are  collectibles  some are like the famous Faberge Egg. .  images via V&A museum So if you love to see some of these bags  there is a show in  London till September  of course depends on lockdowns. But if lucky  one can maybe see them.  Also you can read more about i

PARIS HOME life // Lifestyle,

A Parisian LIFE I was so excited to find on youtube this series from Vogue, it shows homes of various women from artists, writers, designers and many more.  A insight to their lives in  Paris, their homes , their work and their ideas. N ow especially since so many people are in lockdown it is something we can all relate to, being stuck in our homes.  Personally I love being at home, maybe I am a homebody. I can always imagine new things to do or try.  Whether is trying to sew, or make something different be it cooking or some decor thing. A new hobby or simple things like mediation . here is the series  une fille, une style from Vogue france.   https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLVRtRwc2n-r6ToS9OapZq9OilGU3zqrbi

INSTAGRAMMERS PLUS/ FASHION, SOCIAL MEDIA

Are you a follower of instagrammers?  I admit I have a few favourites  I check out now and then. but I am not a big follower of instagram really. When you look at fashion most instagrammers are probably in the ages from 20s to 30s.  Its not usual to see anyone much older , I don't think.  There are perhaps a handful of women over the age of 40 , that were either fashion models -Christy Brinkley, Claudia Schiffer or fashion editors and designers or celebrities.  But I have to say, I find it interesting to see more ages shown. It adds to the imagination, something different, a different style.   One article that caught my eye was about a an Indian actress who has a instagram feed,  and she is a mature senior woman.  She has become popular with her looks , but some looks are not so welcome. Reason being she is a Senior , lives in a conservative country where at a certain age you have to look a certain way or dress a certain way.  In one photo she is wearing a denim dress,  and some

A NEW WEEK at HOME /// lifestyle, decor , diy

HI EVERYONE How was your first week of 2021?  I have to say the week started slowly after the holidays. We are still in lockdown , so we are limited to staying home , only trips to shop essentials- so there really isn't much new.   Like most of us during lockdown we have a certain daily routine. I started to remove some of the christmas things, but left a few things out like the lite houses, wintery snow globes, and my favourite string of lights that look like candles.  Keeping the wintery feel in the room with candles and some greenery DIY PROJECT I love the look when the tree branches are covered in frost, the silvery white that glistens with the sunshine looks so beautiful. Tried my hand at making the frosted branches , these things are so lovely and easy to do. A NEW GADGET This was something my sis has and she really liked using it for making chickens wings etc. So surprise, we got one as a gift  an  Air fryer.  I have to figure out how to use it, so i can't wait to make
