ENJOYING THE WEEKEND// lifestyle

CHOCOLATE LINED STREETS Who doesn't love CHOCOLATE? I  admit I have a weakness for chocolate, its a necessary thing. A must have and especially during the holidays.  So when i read this funny story from Germany - I was thinking wish I were there then! To scoop it up. A local chocolate maker had problems when all of a sudden things overflowed . Chocolate was  streaming down the street. Talk about streets lined with chocolate.  CHOCOLATE   A SPECIAL DEAR SANTA LETTER We may have kids or can recall writing a letter to Santa as a kid. To imagine finding a letter written 125 years ago  by a little girl to  Santa and the things she asked for.  A simply delightful story and  worth reading .  Its so appropriate for this time of year.  SANTA LETTER   IS SANTA REAL, Mommy? Well the story of SANTA is a good one, it makes children smile  with great anticipation for old St. Nick to arrive w...

ENJOYING THE WEEKEND// lifestyle

LUCKY, FUNNY AND YUMMY THINGS Happy Friday everyone. Getting into the holiday spirit yet?  Well perhaps these stories will get  you in the mood ,  smile or laugh. It is nice to read something that is uplifting and not all bad news. Especially at this time of year. Santas Reindeer? It is an amazing story, just right for this time of year actually.  It starts in the far north of Scandinavia where a photographer  encountered a white reindeer White reindeer are very rare and very seldom  seen up close but the photographer  was greeted by this young calf .  It is considered lucky to  see one. Wonder if Santa is missing one? NO SNOWBALLS! Another great story for now is about a boy that took a town to court to overturn   an old town  bylaw . Apparently it is against the law to throw snowballs. What is winter without snowballs? YUMM , YUMMY There is nothing better then ...

INTERNATIONAL HAPPINESS DAY // lifestyle

HAPPY  HAPPINESS DAY  to all. Well 20th of March is suppose to be Happiness DAY and the latest report by the UN puts the Nordic countries at the top again. Wonder why, is it HYGGE??  I suspect so, that and perhaps a good system of education, health care, good wages and more. Of course taxes are high , but these countries over much in  return  for the taxes paid. The other places that  scored high  also , were Canada, New Zealand and Australia.  Austria is down 1 to 13th , just above USA.  That surprises me . and Germany is 16th. I would have thought it be higher .  I suppose it has more to do with politics and the happenings of the last  year. But it could be worse,,  so  BE HAPPY.
