ANOTHER YEAR ENDS WITH SPARKLE, LIGHTS , BUBBLY AND FIREWORKS. SO TO ALL  THE  VERY , VERY HAPPIEST OF NEW YEARS EVE. MAY WE ALL  CELEBRATE THE END OF 2017 WITH JOY AND LOVE IN OUR HEARTS AHD THE HAPPINESS OF A NEW YEAR TOGETHER WITH FRIENDS & FAMILY. HIGHLIGHTS from NYE love to dance... head to the street with the gorgeous chandeliers and dance the night away. (to see check out Holiday Lights post) Around the corner is the magnificent Stephansdom  and the huge lite tree, along with  the cutest huts selling hot punches and other goodies. Just wander the area and head over to the Operahaus to see a  opera performance on the huge screen.   Around each corner is a surprise of  brillant lights from red lantern to curtains of lights, House of music is another interesting stop for music lovers.  Finally make your way to the Rathaus to go skating around the park or just listen to more music, waiting for the stroke of midnight and the fire

HOLIDAY Cheer  the Austrian way Wishing Everyone a Wonderful Holiday Season  and a special thanks to those that read or follow my blog and to all the other wonderful bloggers that share their special style, talent and time with all of us.  Cheers   Traditions of the seasons   are so special and I have one more now to add to my list, European and north american. Christmas Eve or Christmas Day it is always the most wonderful time of the year. The getting together with friends and family, the table with it display of delicious food and all the goodies to try. The delicious Vanillakipferls that melt in your mouth . The tasty Weihnacht punch ,  with the warm wine and berries (absolutely delicious) that will keep you warm on a chilly wintery night or the warm potato salad served with fish - just some of the new traditions to try. Well all of the new and old traditions will carry on from one family to the next and

the viennese style Every where you walk in the city there are streets lite up  and cafes to sit and  enjoy the famous coffee shops in  the city , the Schwarzberg or  the famous Sachers . Christmas markets are filled with people, streets are lite with the most spectacular lights that stretch along the pedestrian walks  like huge chandeliers. This is one of the most popular places to be during the holidays.   But a definite must see in this beautiful city of Vienna. Oh but there is so so much more to see and do , its endless.  Here are just a few sights to see in the evening. I hope to share more of the sights in the city here, so stay posted.

OHHHH NO,, ONLY 10 DAYS LEFT   Well I sit and wonder how come it seems the holiday season comes so quickly and then it is suddenly over. If you were to ask my friends  or family who is wild for the holidays , the answer would be ME. Okay I know some might think or have a image of those over the top movies with lights and santa filled rooms.( the extreme end) or the holiday sweaters with bells and all the those colours.  Let me say , I am not that extreme but its more the feeling I get at this time of year. From baking goodies, listening to the music, lighting the trees and candles, setting up for company- and some special movies to watch.  Of course I love the decorating part too! But mostly its the time  spent those most dear or if we can treat someone else . The  holidays are for relaxing and just unwinding. OH DEAR SANTA, THIS LOOKS NICE. ... yes it is only a few weeks to Christmas and there are probably a million things we have to do still, like getting gifts for are special ones . I have only started to get going on that,  but  then  seeing somethings online, it made me think  that is something  I would love to wear for the holidays or later in the season.
