HOLIDAY MADNESS or GLADNESS//lifestyle

HOLIDAYS... for some are not so great.

So what makes this time of the season so special ? For some it is being with their family, the traditions, the food and the music. Or just the feeling one gets.
But for some it is not something they look forward to... perhaps no family or loss of family member or their job.There are things that can set a person back.

So why do i mention this,,, well looking at all the blogs with all those gift ideas and places, made me think its not always so wonderful for some people. They dread the holidays , shopping in packed malls for gifts or the rushing around and the crowds.

REFLECTIONS

I think about my parents and what they did for christmas, it was different then, no large shopping malls or online shopping, but it still seemed like their holidays were wonderful. A big family gathering with few gifts , homemade or candy treats bought at the store or the skating outing. Simple but still so special. I think about that much more now that I am older and think ,, What is all the stress about?

Its more important to do or share the time doing something you like even if it is a small thing or
do something special for someone else.

Mostly I look forward to the holidays for the music, decorations and simply being with family or friends. (though family is far) I can still find joy in the season and enjoy the time. Doing things, skating , seeing the beautiful sights in the city or making a small gift for someone, visiting a sick friend or making treats.

There is always something wonderful to do at this time of year and to remember those that are not so fortunate as we are.

MET GALA 2024// fashion , MET gala

Fashions at the Met The time is here to see the fabulous fashions that are from this years Met Gala .Always aan eye popper and this year the theme was flowers botanical looks. Some very interesting creative fashions, especially if you love flowers. My favorite look was Demi Moore’s gorgeous gown a really stunning dress.. The bold big floral print on the dress was wow! I loved it! And she looked beautiful in it. The other gowns were lovely too. Men in floral print slacks to fun shoes . Something for everyone tastes. Keeping Warm - Fashion Style

POP of COLOR Yes it is something we all want need. Keeping warm in the cold winter months. One of favorite knit top has been my steady Look. The fact it has a large cowl neck collar that I pull up over my face when it’s windy outside. It is comfortable and feels cozy . The color is vibrant on those dull dreary days . A pop of color is nice to see during the winter season when mostly black seems to be the color of choice. The Accessories . I love to add a few accessories also. Bracelets add a little interest to the look . The three sterling silver bangles worn over sleeve looks good , as well as the multi twist bracelet. Ps The photo does not show the true color . It’s a very vibrant blue shade . Looks dull . After a few retakes no change. Camera issues.

DRESS. It up//fashion style

DRess It Up A simple grey knit top is something I had been looking for sometime. Grey is not usually my pick, but I thought time to try some other neutral shade. The top is tunic style and loose fitting . Definitely a comfort piece. I decided to add some different accessories to it. This shiny silver piece just a bit of interest to the plain top. Accessories are really a great way to give an outfit a different look. Love this multi strand necklace . It suits this knit top, not to delicate but fun and an interesting piece.
