HOLIDAY Cheer  the Austrian way

  Traditions of the seasons  are so special and I have one more now to add to my list, European and north american.

Christmas Eve or Christmas Day it is always the most wonderful time of the year. The getting together with friends and family, the table with it display of delicious food and all the goodies to try.

The delicious Vanillakipferls that melt in your mouth .

The tasty Weihnacht punch ,  with the warm wine and berries (absolutely delicious) that will keep you warm on a chilly wintery night or the warm potato salad served with fish - just some of the new traditions to try.






















Well all of the new and old traditions will carry on from one family to the next and each and everyone is so special.  For me the traditional turkey dinner with stuffing, or the roasted pork, or fish dishes are
now something i share with others, this holiday season,  An extra special treat-
for the holidays or new years.

RECIPE for a Wintery Wine punch with Berries
2 L. water
 teabags  hibiscus or orange flavoured depending on your taste
bottle red wine
frozen mixed berries package
sugar  per taste
cinnamon sticks
orange slices

Start by heating the water in pot with the teabags. till strong - remove the bags.
Add the mixed berries cinnamon sticks, orange slices. sugar.
Pour the red wine into the pot and let simmer till heated.

Serve in your favourites mugs.
