SMALL THINGS in LIFE I am not sure if it is cooler weather or me getting older (can't be) but whatever it is when fall comes around its feels like it is time to bring out the candles, grab the cozy blankets ,  bake apple pies and watch movies. All of these things I love. Movies especially. I love to follow the film festivals and see what is new .  Small Things Last weekend was one of those , (after the museum visits).  Foreign films have always interested me.(though it was not so easy to find them )  This year at the Cannes film festival the films screened included those directed by Tarantino(once upon a time in hollywood), Pedro Almodovar , Boon Joon-hu and many others.  So I am curious to check them out when in theatres.  Meanwhile I found one film by Almodovar that sounded interesting and is based on the Canadian author Alice Munro. DREAM TRIPS and KEEPING SAFE We all look forward to a trip or holiday, whether it is close to home or somewhere far away.  There are so many wonderful places to see and explore. Some places are more popular to visit and have become a tourist mecca. Many people travel to the Asian countries such as Thailand or Philippines. It is known for its gorgeous beaches, friendly people and warm climate.  There are also many stray animals wandering around some areas.  Of course sometimes we like to feed or pet the animals. I have a weakness for animals , so seeing a stray i would be one to try to feed or give it water. For anyone that travels often to these places it is important to get vaccinated. THE CHRISTMAS TREE.. THE MOST IMPORTANT FEATURE FOR THE HOLIDAYS. . A BEAUTIFUL FRESH CUT TREE IS REALLY SPECIAL, FIRST FOR THE SMELL - LIKE HAVING THE OUTDOORS IN  YOUR HOME. I CAN RECALL AS KID GOING OUT TO FIND THE SPECIAL TREE AND SETTING UP  WITH LIGHTS AND ICICLES WAS SO EXCITING. BUT MOM WAS NOT SO EXCITED AFTER THE NEEDLES CAME OFF AND LEFT A MESS OR THE CAT WOULD JUMP ON IT TO GRAB THE HANGING DECORATIONS .  YES SOME FUNNY MEMORIES. SO FINDING A TREE AND KEEPING IT FRESH AND BEAUTIFUL THROUGHOUT THE HOLIDAY SEASON IS THE CHALLENGE. BIG  OR SMALL  SUCH A WONDERFUL THING TO ENJOY OVER THE HOLIDAYS!!
