  TIME TO SAY BYE 2020 well its the last day of 2020. something to celebrate! Its been a tough year for all of us, we have all been on this rollercoaster, of lockdowns and all the other things that happened in 2020. but i can only hope we all are safe and healthy and we can look forward to a FABULOUS 2021 (good riddance 2020!!!) So of course it felt completely different.   THE CITY STREETS     one of my favourite streets to stroll along in the city. The beautiful chandeliers, it is so magical! Today is Silvester Abend  as it is called in German. The night we all celebrate around the world, NEW YEARS EVE! The fireworks, music, dancing  and glasses of bubbly to celebrate the new year. GETTING COMFY FOR THE HOLIDAYS Hi Everyone The holiday season is getting closer, with most of us being busy shopping, baking or sending greetings to family and friends.  After all the things are finished then it is time to relax, put our feet up and have a nice drink, ( hot chocolate please) Well its not Christmas yet, I have been thinking about what to wear over the holidays. The dressy outfit is great for a day, but what about all the other days. After the hectic time , then something comfortable to relax in is key. I adore a nice sweater, especially the cable knit look. Something so CLASSIC about cable knits. I have a few in my drawer but thought this one is a little different.  CRAZY for CABLE KNITS this sweater looks so cozy , love the sleeves , a change from the tradition cable knit look.   The MORNINGS DELIGHT What is the first thing you have in the morning a cup of tea or coffee? Tea or coffee , both are popular and the drink of choice for many people. I only  lately started to drink coffee with flavoured creamer, French Vanilla or Hazelnut flavour. Tea, I will drink more when I am not feeling well with lemon. Recently I was reading an article about tea and how some brands have plastic in the teabags. Who knew or would think there be plastic in TEABAGS. There is one brand that mentions on the packaging it contains no PLASTIC. A test was done to see which  teabags contains plastic, surprising most did. LET IT SPARKLE AND SHINE In the last post about dressing up for holidays it is something I like, love to do. DRESS UP for special occasions. Of course this year will be completely different, as we have less contact with others and the lockdowns. But I don't see any reason why we can't wear the dressy things or even bring out the other things like crystal glasses , silver candlesticks...... There is something so magical about the holidays and it is the one holiday that we can really light up our homes, celebrate the time and wear our best outfits. After all its not everyday we dress up, so why not?   GETTING INTO THE FESTIVE SPIRIT Though the Christmas holidays will probably have less activities, not so many outings or events to attend, I still feel I would like to celebrate the time and get a bit more dressed up.  I love to dress up for the holidays! Though this year there aren't any office parties or visits with friends or family. We have been in second lockdown , so whether things change it is unlikely we will be entertaining family or friends this year.  We had some snow just lately, and it looked wonderful . All white and fresh.  I thought for part of the holidays to get some pieces in a creme or white  , adding some sparkle to make it more festive. 🎄A FESTIVE HOLIDAY  OUTFIT 🎄🎁🎁 A nice blazer, slacks and a sequin top , the added WOW!  Slacks are so comfortable to wear and  a nice flat slip on shoe is ideal for at home.  Dressing Up or Dressing Down  With a nice blazer  or a cardigan .   The dressy version or the comfortable one both are just right . KEEPING THE FEET WARM December, my most favourite month and we will be getting our first snowfall this week. Winter is not complete without SNOW.  Yes, some of us love the snow for different reasons and then some hate it. But I choose to enjoy the snowy white stuff well it lasts, that is one thing about living in the city, there is not much snow , usually it melts away in a few days.  So well it does get colder, a pair of boots to wear is one of the things needed. Whether a pair of dressier   or a nice casual boot, these boots work well. Whether you live in the city or enjoy the outdoors  there are boots for anytime. A TALL BOOT knee high boots are on trend but really when didn't a high boot go out of style. Its a perfect item to wear with dresses or slacks.
