  Chanel in the UK  The latest Chanel fashion show was presented in Manchester on an actual street .   Fashion shows extraordinaire  There is nothing more exciting then to see the latest fashion show whether it’s New York,London , Milan , but I think the most amazing fashion shows were the ones created by designer Karl Lagerfeld for Chanel.  His designs were fresh , modern. But the showstoppers were the settings . The space set, a winter village , the beach boardwalk , each with such detail , so creative!  Nothing compares to that!  WHAT INSPIRES ONE? I love to see some of the fashion shows, but this season was so, so. Nothing really inspired one .  So I looked at some past fashion shows and found some looks that really are suitable for now or summer time. STYLE INSPIRATION for the season- Looks for summer holidays, trips or just for some inspiration.  From skirt and blazer sets, two piece outfits, casual fun looks, or lovely maxi dresses these pieces are perfect . Something white for summer is a must have. 

FEELING BORED? WHAT ABOUT A MOVIE? Yes being inside the four walls for weeks can get to one,  but I found watching a movie or two one of the ways to keep ones mind off the situation. So I thought I would like to see something  fashion related. Especially now when the idea of going shopping for fashion is not possible. Thought it would inspire me to get more dressed up or at least make an effort. Perhaps even spark a interest to get something new for summer. Even if just for wearing at home. COCO before CHANEL One film I had seen years ago was about Coco Chanel , a look at her early life from a young girl who learnt to sew well living in a convent, to meeting the rich and opening her first shop.  And the rest is history. the film is worth watching for the scenery and lifestyle back then So I will enjoy getting to see it again     DEVIL WEARS PRADA Another one that we all know is with Anne Hathaway and Meryl St...

***WINTER IN PARIS **** Paris is of course the mega fashion centre with all the top fashion houses in Paris. Chanel has had such a major influence on chic styles with Karl lagerfeld steering the company for so many years. The final designs of Lagerfeld were on the runway as a wonderful way to honour the man. CHANEL  KING It is sad to hear the man that was  so prominent and a icon himself has died.  He was a major influence in the fashion world and a visionary of design. Chanel fashion shows were always the showcase of fashion week.  thank you  Karl Lagerfeld for your genius, your drive and passion.

THE PRICE EXTRAORDINARY The world of fashion has always amazed me . As a young girl growing up and looking at fashion magazines or seeing the glamorous movies stars in the jewels and designer gowns.  The one fashion icon that always came to mind was Chanel, and Givenchy - of course the many others .  From fashion to accessories, shoes and purses, the purses of these famous designers were what the rich  collected. Now it seems every fashion blogger is carrying a Chanel bag or  some other designer bag.    The top of the pile in designer bags it seems is the Hermes bags. The great Kelly bag, named after Grace Kelly or the Birkin bag after  Jane B. Each of these purses is iconic and sought after. These bags are sold for a hefty price new . but there is another bag that  is over the top. HANG ON TO YOUR PLASTICS Looking at the Chanel  SS2018  fashions,  and wondering would we wear plastic in the summer? Okay maybe a raincoat or umbrella is fine. but to wear knee high boots and the other things , well not sure I be keen to wear that. Plastic is plastic, it sticks to the body, makes one sweat and who wants that. That being said, I love the designs of the outfits (minus the plastic)  The classic Chanel!!
