SWIMMING in April? // Fashion

GRAB YOUR SWIMSUITS It is official some outdoor swimming pools are opening this week. Amazing really, but no wonder the temperatures are rising and next few days will be 28C.  So maybe it is time to see what is available in the swimsuit lineup this summer. I am more a 1 piece girl, i like to be more covered and also because it is more comfortable,  nothing slipping. (if you know what i mean). So here are a few suits i found and combinations to try out. HALTER STYLE First  a halter style white-  It has tie front and also across the back, so should stay in place.   Adding some color with a cute scarf that can be worn as a hairband, a pair of slip on sandals, sunglasses and a fun piece of jewelry. SEASHELLs the big trend of the summer.   TROPICANA LOOK a awesome tropical print swimsuit, with shaper -  this suit is bright, fun and colourful! love the ruched effect and the removable shoulder straps.  LETS GO

Don't forget the EGGS// Lifestyle

A SPECIAL TIME for FAMILIES Well the Easter holidays are coming up this weekend, there are always things to prepare. If not food and the goodies or some decorations , it makes it more special and of course  memorable. I can recall the things I did as kid , or those large baskets filled with chocolate bunnies and other things. Of course Easter is much more then that-  but as kids that was the excitement. Though a more meaningful day and one to reflect upon as one is older. Over here some people will have the trees outside decorated with Easter eggs, bunny decorations set up on the steps or baskets filled with flowers.  Inside tree branches are also used to hang more decorations. It looks  wonderful and feels really like spring then. I have come to love that! Here are some simple diys to try if you want to have the spring feeling  Eggshells with mini bouquets A pretty basket filled with colourful eggs Flowery Baskets so cute Si

TO CUT OR NOT TO CUT// BEAUTY

SPRING IS THE TIME TO TRY NEW THINGS  whether it is something like a new lipstick, fashion or an activity.  And for me spring is usually when i go and get a trim (in this case a much needed trim) . So when i booked an appointment and arrived the stylist was friendly, She asked me how much I wanted trimmed and i showed her.  Basically just trim a FEW inches or the dry ends.  She nodded and said okay. I will take off a little and show you in mirror  . Seemed like a good way to do it........    She kept saying,  you have such beautiful hair , so long and thick.   Well she trimmed off the ends, someone came in  i knew sat down to talk or watch.  Well then who knew what happened next,   the few inches became i would say 12 inches. The stylist seemed to get scissor happy.  To give you an idea my hair was down below my chest, in other words LONG. After a so called trim only,,, it is now a bit below my shoulders.  Not what i had asked or agreed to.

ENJOYING THE WEEKEND// lifestyle decor

LAZY SUNDAY MORNINGS Yes that says it all.... today is one of those days! No energy or feeling of - Lets go somewhere. Do you have days like that?   Today is more a day i rather stay home, and maybe bake or plant some flowers. Well my luck with flowers or plants are not great, its seems like not much will grow. The problem is we  have a north exposure and limited sunshine.  I have tried lavender, hydrangeas, rose plant, irises and other bulbs  but with some or very little success.   And the annoying thing is I love flowers and gardens.   That being said ,  we have a cedar tree in a pot and it has survived and grown tall. So 1 out of 10 is not bad.  So finally i thought i will check out faux  plants to get some greenery. A faux lavender or hydrangea Plus when we go on holidays won't need someone to water the plants.  I figure that is a good idea . So lets get started and make it green starting with a few pots to hold the plants. Hanging or freestanding both are nice

ENJOYING THE WEEKEND// Lifestyle

A VERY SPORTY CITY It is one thing i noticed since moving here, there are so many sporty things to do in the city. From yoga in the parks, table tennis or tennis, cycling or running. There are plenty of things to enjoy or try out. Yoga to me is one . Marathons are also major event in the city and this weekend was amazing weather for the annual marathon. The crowds of runners and people out to see the runners is also a good thing. Streets are blocked off for the runners and there is a course set for a mini run, a kids run and more. A great way to let anyone participate . Also what is very important for runners or joggers is to drink plenty of water, especially on hot days. But did you know it can also be dangerous to drink to much water. Who knows that, not me? I read an article about the need to drink water, but also there can be a risk. How much water do you need to drink in a day? I know it is about 8 glasses , but that includes all fluids not only

TREND- BEIGE SUIT STYLES // fashion

BEIGE the TREND of the SEASON Beige is big this season. You can see so many  bloggers wearing it. I find beige is always a great color on anyone , plus you can add  other prints to the look. This suit I have had for years, its linen with stretch - one reason I bought it and it doesn't wrinkle so badly. Linens and cottons are ideal   to wear in the summer heat, but of course it tends to wrinkle more. A blazer with slacks and is perfect to wear in summer. CASUAL STYLE going casual with slacks, flat sandals. a great travel outfit. DRESSED UP CHIC add a pair or leopard heels some jewelry and different slacks or a skirt. similar neutral BLAZERS linen or linen blends  images zara
