FASHION on FILM// fashion, lifestyle

FEELING BORED? WHAT ABOUT A MOVIE? Yes being inside the four walls for weeks can get to one,  but I found watching a movie or two one of the ways to keep ones mind off the situation. So I thought I would like to see something  fashion related. Especially now when the idea of going shopping for fashion is not possible. Thought it would inspire me to get more dressed up or at least make an effort. Perhaps even spark a interest to get something new for summer. Even if just for wearing at home. COCO before CHANEL One film I had seen years ago was about Coco Chanel , a look at her early life from a young girl who learnt to sew well living in a convent, to meeting the rich and opening her first shop.  And the rest is history. the film is worth watching for the scenery and lifestyle back then So I will enjoy getting to see it again     DEVIL WEARS PRADA Another one that we all know is with Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep,  seeing how  she a

GARDEN PARTY TIME// lifestyle, staying home. life

THE (stay@home) GARDEN PARTY Yesterday was Earth day and it was a beautiful sunny day here, then after that I thought with so much sunshine and warm weather , why not enjoy it to the fullest! Lets have GARDEN PARTY!! We can't have people over , but we can still have a nice weekend outdoors and enjoy the time. So here are a few ideas  and inspiration to get into the mood of  a GARDEN PARTY. Firstly a table big enough to seat guests or in this case a couple.  A garden party is not complete without some flowers , arranging them in glass wine bottles  is one way to make use of empties. Lights and candlelight another important factor. Next, what to eat? Barbecues are the way to start , simple kababs , salads and some bubbly. After dinner somewhere to relax , unwind, listen to music and enjoy the rest of the night is ideal. Comfortable seating is very important whether inside or outside.   So here s to a great garden party,  big or small!

Oh lovely days// lifestyle, earth day, staying home,

HAPPY EARTH DAY, EVERYONE! April 22nd is a day to celebrate... though we might not think about it these days. But really after reading or seeing photos of cities that suffered from severe pollution, cities with polluted waters and other things. There is something to celebrate, the air is cleaner. the water is clearer  and nature has appeared on city streets, certainly unusual but it maybe a good thing to see how we humans have made a big impact on the earth, via polluted the air and water. So even if we are not happy about being in lockdown there has been a benefit in a many other ways. Today we can perhaps do some small things  around our places  , clean up the yard, plant some flowers or a tree, set up a birdhouse, add a bird bath,  even on a balcony it can be a space to enjoy. Planting flowers that attract the birds, bees and butterflies is ideal. I especially love to sit outside and get the new plants in the pots, hang up wind chimes. One feature I do love are water

BRING ON THE SUN// lifestyle, healthWise

The Vitamin D Factor The last few weeks have been so sunny and warm, unusually warm for April by us.  Being able to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine is truly wonderful. I hope wherever you are  you can bask in the sun, open your windows and let the sun in  if you don't have a area outside or  balcony.  Yes, there is nothing like sunshine to brighten the day.   Also  the sun is so important for our bodies and mind.  Especially during these  unusual weeks and months, as we self isolate. I read recently a article about the benefits of vitamin D  and the lack of it, how it effects the body.  Things I didn't know like without some exposure to sun we can suffer from fatigue , sore muscles and even depression.   So what our bodies need is daily exposure to some sun, for short times. I have been opening the windows in my bedroom to let the sun in  and enjoy the early morning sunshine, it really lifts ones spirits. So bring on the sunshine. Vitamin D

LOOKING FORWARD it may be to early to think about summer swimwear, but we can expect warm summer days sometime soon. BASIC BLACK & more p rints or solids, one piece or a fun tropical print bikini  , here a  few style to try out. Which one do you like or would wear?   a perfect spot to lounge or cool off..  we may not be able to travel but we can get into the mood with a few things, perhaps a bamboo plant, some large cushions, wicker accessories  things you find at a resort, give your place a resort feel. LOOKING FORWARD TO // Lifestyle, Back to Normal, Life

What are some of the things you will do after this pandemic is over? Yes there are so many things we have had to stop,  but I feel like the slow down in life was a good thing, as I will appreciate more then ever the things I haven't been able to do. The things I am looking forward to doing,  the small things that make me happy. no.1    Getting a HAIR CUT... definitely needed. The hair has grown to             long  and  needs some special attention. No.2     A PEDICuRE, something to get the feet looking good for the summer sandals. No.3     A MANICURE  will be lovely too. A bit of self care is needed. No.4      Getting together with friends, family. No.5       Celebrating my Birthday properly. No.6      Going to a restaurant  my special place. No.7       Going to the ZOO - to see the new baby polar bear and panda No.8       Going to the MUSEUM and just sit there for the day looking and                admiring the pa

DATE NITE LOOK / Fashion , stay@home style

LETs PLAN a DATE ITs the weekend and this is usually when people will go out for a dinner . It also is maybe when  we get dressed up for a date. So to  have a bit of a change, I thought we would have a date night  at home.  A nice change from the daily routine and wear something little more stylish, not the  t-shirt and sweats look , and with the warmer weather  a change of outfit is something to be happy about.  I thought about a dress but this not something I usually wear at home, I still like to be comfortable  and able to sit and move easily.  Here is one look I love...... a comfy  jumpsuit , a pair of simple slip-on sandals, and some accessories hoop earrings. plus of course a nice fragrance and lipstick to finish the look.  This I would say is one way to cheer a person up, getting dressed up even if only at home!    Cheers everyone 🍷🍹 Of course this will also be a nice outfit for going out too. A nice summer time look.

WHAT TO EAT OR SEE // lifestyle , stay@home, recipes&movies

TASTY DELIGHTS AND MORE I am not a keen chef, but we do like to try different types of foods. From Mexican , Italian or chinese. I will say Austrian food can be a bit bland  for my taste buds. Something with some spice is what I need now and then. So I have two super  simple dinner recipes  that I make. Hopefully enjoy  these easy recipes. ___________________________________________________     Mexican Chicken w salsa .   only 3 things needed for this delicious dish. Chicken breasts,  salsa and cheddar cheese.    single portion or more as needed Fry the chicken till cooked thorough  , place chicken in a dish, add scoops of salsa to cover each chicken breast, top with slices of cheddar cheese.    Place in microwave oven 2-3 minutes till cheese is melted.   time depends on the microwave power. Serve with cooked rice and a salad. ________________________________________________ Sweet sour MEATBALLS ground beef, salt pepper,  ketchup, brown sugar, soya sauce vi

STAYING STYLISH & COMFORTABLE We have been hunkering down in our homes for a few weeks or more, of course this i s not the greatest time, especially now when it is warming up and the urge to be outside is great, but we all know how very important it is to keep safe and avoid contact.
