 THE BIG SWEEP Yes , that is what the month of September has been  a sweep of getting rid of things, clutter, you name it , it was time to clear out things. I think the fact of  the lockdowns and being at home more only emphasized the fact things clutter had to go.  INSIDE, OUTSIDE Starting outside, I had saved so many plant containers that I thought would be handy to have. They have been sitting there for the last few years , not being used so time to get rid of them. Somebody else can use them for there plants . So was a giveaway.  Then our yard that was being prepared for installation of a small pool, well it became a bigger project then expected. Still decided if go smaller or original. (big headache) REFRESH ; laundry room AKA Bathroom Well its nice to have a laundry space, I find it adds a lot more clutter in the bathrooom. European bathrooms and toilets(W/C) are separate spaces.  The Weekend of Scarey things and Surprises Halloween was very quiet but that is usually the case here, as it really is not such a BiG thing . The much more celebrated event is Carnival  with the costumes and kids also take part in. But i still enjoyed it, watching some scary movies , reading and relaxing. Well I like to set up some fall decorations , this year felt much different. The kids had the week off and after this weekend , austria is again going into the second lockdown. SURPRISE  So what to think? Each day the numbers of cases increased, and I can say I think it is importantt to make sure everyone follows those recommendations. NOT ONLY FASHION, A FRIENDLY CHAT Lately I have been stuck  as to what to write on the blog.  My mind has wandered to thinking about other things, from reno, decluttering or decorating. Even the thought of flowers and springtime. Just sometimes one can't  seem to get inspired to write. Home Routines   I usually have a day that is the laundry day, a routine we all have - but lately i let the pile of t-shirts , pile up (not my shirts). The endless changing of a shirt after one wear drives me nuts. SO no washing week! The closet was nearly empty and  no Tshirts left . Now what, wear the same one twice! MINIMAL MATTERS  I recently read a post about minimalism,   making your life minimal with less or letting go of things.  Some things I can maybe say okay to, other ideas noooo way. Some things that i thought  why would anyone want to get rid of that, i.e. a family heirloom , a piece of art or jewellery that belongs to a parent or relative- it has a special meaning or is perhaps worth something or not. Okay, perhaps a thing that is costume or plastic  but still it is a sentimental item or has special meaning .    When I moved overseas, there were many things I sold big items pieces, but smaller things no way, collectibles or valuable items , photographs and books.  Somethings I donated and regretted it later (lesson learned). SO , MAYBE INSTEAD OF THE USUAL VALENTINES DAY GIFTS THIS IS SOMETHING TO CONSIDER. A DREAMY BEDROOM WITH ALL THE EXTRAS. LOVE THE SOFT MUTED GREY TONES   AND THE UPHOLSTERED HEADBOARD FOUR POSTER BED AND CHANDELIERS  ADD THE EXTRA ROMANTIC TOUCH

A LOVELY ROOM FILLED WITH SOFT CANDLELIGHT SETS THE MOOD FOR A ROMANTIC MOMENT. ESPECIALLY WITH  VALENTINES DAY. I AM A REAL ROMANTIC AT HEART AND LOVE CANDLES - EVEN WHEN ITS NOT A SPECIAL OCCASION.
