OHHHH NO,, ONLY 10 DAYS LEFT
Well I sit and wonder how come it seems the holiday season comes so quickly and then it is suddenly over. If you were to ask my friends or family who is wild for the holidays , the answer would be ME.
Okay I know some might think or have a image of those over the top movies with lights and santa filled rooms.( the extreme end) or the holiday sweaters with bells and all the those colours.
Let me say , I am not that extreme but its more the feeling I get at this time of year.
From baking goodies, listening to the music, lighting the trees and candles, setting up for company-
and some special movies to watch. Of course I love the decorating part too! But mostly its the time spent those most dear or if we can treat someone else .
The holidays are for relaxing and just unwinding. I thought I share a few of my favourite movies for this time of year. Perhaps you might catch one, on TV or get a dvd for someone as a gift.
I love classic and for me number one is Charles Dickens , Scrooge The Christmas Carol. There are a few versions of this movie , my favourite is the old black and white.
SCROOGE , A Christmas Carol -black white with Alastair Sims the mizzer Scrooge, he is so believable and really makes one feel he is the most dreadful man. Really this film is absolutely worth to watch.
a newer coloured version with George C Scott, is a good one to watch also, He plays the part well
and the scenes are great for the feel of old england.
There is even a children's version with Donald Duck , makes me smile to see that one. A introduction to a classic for kids of any age really.
A CHILDS CHRISTMAS IN WALES , a really quaint and special film about a boy who is waiting for a white christmas and his grandfather telling him about his christmas as a child growing up in Wales, A oh so delightful , heartwarming funny movie.
HOME ALONE , boy alone at home over the holidays and the things that can happen. A hilarious family movie which I am sure we have all seen .
A CHRISTMAS STORY a typical american family christmas and the boy who wishes for a special toy . This movie is hilarous and another favourite. Good family movie.
A CHRISTMAS TALE . CONTE DE NOEL
A french family, gathering to celebrate Christmas . A sharp French humour . I adore the french films not only for the beautiful scenes but that style of humour . If you love French things than this is one you have to see.

DR, ZHIVAGO a classic with some great actors and scenery.
The others most of us know, like Miracle on 34th Street, White Christmas , etc.
But if you have had enough of holiday films , here is another one, After the holidays we maybe have overspent, Well one film is about a lottery winner and the town he lives in, a great UK made film.
Waking Ned Devine.
Yes I we plan to watch a few of these and curl up on the sofa and drink Weihnacht punch and just enjoy the feeling of the holidays.
If you have a favourite movie for the holiday would be fun to have some new ones to see - let me know.
