TEARS & FEARS// world, life

TIME TO ...... think, reflect

This post is one i wanted to write for awhile,  but there are so many bloggers talking about the BLM .
I felt people will be so overwhelmed with more and  more .  Its not a easy matter and its one that
really needs to change DISCRIMINATION and the brutality of man.

Sadly it has not changed much , and it makes me very sad to see people being mistreated, no matter what colour, race or gender.    The world has seen many terrible things  , and especially now with
the Covid , it is even worse.  People losing jobs, stress and worries are high.

Political leaders need to show guidance, compassion and say NO MORE.   When will people learn?
I think it starts at home it needs to be shown and learnt in schools at a young  age.

There are many afro americans that have made big changes in different ways.
Desmond Tutti, Martin Luther King,  rights leaders,  Mandela and many others.

I am not American but I only know what i read and see in the news.

Well to change the topic,  I hope we can  be kinder and show more compassion for others.

I plan to watch a movie that for me was truly  moving and meaningful. Some of you might know it  and others not. When I first saw it i was deeply touched.
Why.?  Love conquers all.

Guess who's coming to Dinner?
its a film with a great story and emotion and poignant .
with Sidney Poirtier , Spencer Tracy and Katherine Hepburn.

MET GALA 2024// fashion , MET gala

Fashions at the Met The time is here to see the fabulous fashions that are from this years Met Gala  .Always aan eye popper and this year the theme was flowers botanical  looks.  Some very interesting creative fashions, especially if you love flowers.  My favorite look was Demi Moore’s  gorgeous gown  a really stunning dress.. The bold big floral print on the dress was wow!  I loved it!  And she looked beautiful in it.  The other gowns  were lovely too.   Men in floral print slacks to fun shoes .  Something for everyone tastes.  Photo via Getty images  Here you can see more from the gala.   Via bbc  https://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-68938637

Pockets please!!/ fashion

Well as the title says…. Pocket s please!  This week has been a very painful week. I recently injured my knee badly. Not able to move stand or walk. When finally bit better I finally  managed to move . I needed something to wear that I could put my phone in , glasses medicine in. Any dress I thought I could use didn’t have pockets for anything.  Why???  When I think back there usually  were pocket inserts nicely sewn  on inside of slacks or dresses.  Now you rarely find that .  I guess it’s a cost saving , less material needed and no extra time used sewing a pockrr er r in.  Maybe it’s to give an outfit a more neat look, no bulging pockets.   Meanwhile mens wear there are always pockets.  Do you like outfit with pockets?

THIS and THAT//fashion , festival

Season Changes Well it has finally cooled down which makes it bearable to be outside. Naturally the swimming pools , lakes and rivers have seen plenty o people .  Festivals , Films  and Fashion  The festival season is winding down,  but one that I anxiously wait for is the Venice Film festival. A movie and fashion lover can’t miss it!  The return of Clooney on screen in  Venice with his gorgeous wife is a highlight.  Her fabulous fuchsia gown with the train was stunning . She stole the show!  Of course there were other stars on the red carpet  but no outstanding dresses .  Movies some are getting mentioned . For myself I’m not  sure what I be tempted to watch.  Julia  Roberts new one about college professor sexual harassment is a serious topic . Not light entertainment.  One film with Helen mirren, pierce Brosnan  about senior mystery book club sounds like light entertainment. The actors are all over 60 , s...
