LIFE LATELY earthy things// lifestyle, wellness, life in lockdown

 EARTH DAY CELEBRATED

It is  a wonderful way to give back something to the environment and earth. I am waiting to plant the flowers  but we did get something more for outside,  some berry bushes - blueberries and boysenberries .  Something we love are blueberries ,   a summer treat  so can't wait to  taste a juicy berry.

The other thing that needed tending was my compost project that i started a few months ago. So will be able to add the much needed compost to the pots.  Its amazing how well it worked with out any added cost. A BONUS.  Have you tried composting?

PARTY Time to celebrate

The last week was pretty busy as we celebrated family birthdays, (in lockdown again) so  nothing big planned. But this weekend  it is the Oscar awards something I look forward to every year. So will enjoy the weekend, see the winners and sip some bubbly.  Cheers!

Every morning we have the enjoyment of hearing the birds chirping.
It really does feel like nature is right outside our door. I also find it so
relaxing to hear ,  its like meditating with nature.

Talking about meditating, if you like the sounds of birds here is a video to provide you with something to meditate to.

  1. Beautiful post by the way. It’s lovely you are getting into nature; I would be interested to hear more about this. I planted some flowers this morning so it’s just a case of watering them now and I’m hopeful to see them come up! :-) xx

    1. Thanks for your friendly note. Nature is so important for everyone especially if living in cities. I can say being outdoors is my passion, sadly lockdowns have made it much harder. Sure you will enjoy your flowers in few weeks. that is always a pleasant surprise. : )

MET GALA 2024// fashion , MET gala

Fashions at the Met The time is here to see the fabulous fashions that are from this years Met Gala  .Always aan eye popper and this year the theme was flowers botanical  looks.  Some very interesting creative fashions, especially if you love flowers.  My favorite look was Demi Moore’s  gorgeous gown  a really stunning dress.. The bold big floral print on the dress was wow!  I loved it!  And she looked beautiful in it.  The other gowns  were lovely too.   Men in floral print slacks to fun shoes .  Something for everyone tastes.  Photo via Getty images  Here you can see more from the gala.   Via bbc  https://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-68938637

CASUAL SUMMER LOOK//fashion , styling

Doing Denim  I sometimes like to wear something that is just more relaxed and comfortable.  For some it might be a pair of shorts, but I like a dress. Whether long or short.  I just them more comfortable and airy on hot summer days.  Denim is one look I like . It’s a casual look that can be dressed up or down, just by changing the accessories you wear with it.  Heels or sandal. Simple jewelry, watch or bracelets.  There are so many ways to style a denim dress.  A great tote to carry the necessary items, sandals and sunglasses  I would add a nice colorful scarf for the hair or simply wear tied around the neck.

SPRING LOOK //Fashion , Style, Spring

Time for some color  Finally the weather is warmer and can wear lighter clothes. I especially like to start the summer/spring with some color .  One of my favorites is a colorful knit on I bought years ago , a Liz Clairborn design.  It’s a piece that just say spring is here. After a long  , cold winter of wearing mostly dark or muted shades it’s nice to bring out something bright a cheery.
