 SEPTEMBER SWEEP STORY


HI everyone here we are nearing the end of September , though this weekend was heavenly warm and wonderful out, so we had to make the most of the last summer feeling days.

Needless to say I am still in the BiG Sweep mode. Things I forgot about or were left in the closet for to long were either given away, tossed or recycled.


HOME SWEET HOME

Household items needed replacing. I think with fall around the corner the need for cozy new things is something we all like or need.  Like new pillows, bedding , sheets and towels.  This was something I noticed after being home in lockdowns , how much we needed to replace the old mismatched towels. 




The kitchen was another place that needed some new items. My dearest had  set of dishes that are stoneware, heavy as rocks and black. His whole place was filled with black things. 

Needless to say  a new set of dishes is on the list to get. White and lighter  like the Corelle ones. love them they don't break and are perfect!








FASHION CAPSULE WARDROBES ???

Well I finally got the second vaccine , and can now safely venture out more. Fashion was not top on my list.  I have enough things to wear , but there are somethings perhaps I might get for the fall.
More new sweater tops and comfy slacks, perhaps a pair of  slip on loafers , and a new tote.

Other things that I like is jewelry. A nice pair of gold earrings is one thing I would like to get.. christmas  is coming. Love those Frivole petal earring from Van Cleef.

Fashions at the Met The time is here to see the fabulous fashions that are from this years Met Gala  .Always aan eye popper and this year the theme was flowers botanical  looks.  Some very interesting creative fashions, especially if you love flowers.  My favorite look was Demi Moore’s  gorgeous gown  a really stunning dress.. CASUAL SUMMER LOOK//fashion , styling

 Doing Denim  I sometimes like to wear something that is just more relaxed and comfortable.  For some it might be a pair of shorts, but I like a dress. Whether long or short.  I just them more comfortable and airy on hot summer days.  Denim is one look I like . It’s a casual look that can be dressed up or down, just by changing the accessories you wear with it.  Heels or sandal. Simple jewelry, watch or bracelets.  There are so many ways to style a denim dress.  A great tote to carry the necessary items, sandals and sunglasses  I would add a nice colorful scarf for the hair or simply wear tied around the neck.

Favorite Things 2023//fashion , items

 Favorite things  I really didn’t go overboard with any purchases in 2023.  Trying to keep to the sustainable fashion idea  of shopping my closet or using what I have .  Mind you there were somethings I thought about getting like a new pair of sunglasses, some shoes  sandals, new purse , but I still need new sunglasses. My old pair has some scratches on them sadly.  The two pieces I did get I absolutely love . Firstly a linen blend blazer in cream shade. It goes with so many things so can’t wait to spring to wear it again.  Also the new wrap dress I bought in spring.  The color I loved , the fit and style is nice to wear for dinners out, parties or weddings. A very versatile piece.   The other item was from a previous year but I had forgotten about it  was a nice surprise. I wore it over Christmas holidays. and got compliments on it . A knit top with sparkle accents.  It was so comfortable and warm . Absolutely loved it.  ...
