  Great Idea How many of us repair our clothes? Okay sewing on a button or stitching a hem is small.  I can recall my mother had a love for clothing. But sometimes she would get her pieces altered. Take a long dress and get it shorten. Making it more useful to wear more often. She actually did this with many of her pieces. Just a simple restyling and she get more use of her clothes.  A very good idea to alter one’s wardrobe. Take pieces to a seamstress is worth it.  Now it seems France has started a program to get people to repair their clothes rather than throw out. Offering money towards cost of.  The reason for doing this is keep more clothes out of the landfills . T INIEST PURSE Recently read a report on an auction for a MSCH bag that sold an astonishing amount of money.  Really unbelievable  https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-66052679 The lastest Trend :Understated your rich have a closet of designer clothes , accessories etc  but you don’t want to be to noticeable .    It seems those who have the designer items are making sure to be inconspicuous with what they wear .   Reason being the financial situation around the world.  Covid pandemic, cost of living etc  So dressing in understated fashion is the thing.  No bling bling !  What to Know Like most people who have an interest fashion or other things  , we will follow or check out certain influencers.  I am not that much of a Instagram follower per se , but I do like certain ones .  Just lately in France a law was passed to make it illegal to promote products that claim to cure  cancer or any other such products that claim other miracles. There are even influencers offering tips in investments.  KThis reminds of those old movies with the  wagon selling a potion that will cure their coughs etc . Snake charmers they were called.  Surprising how many people believe these things .  The news report about this But thinking about all the advertising in magazines on tv claiming  weight loss, look younger or grow your hair back , seems to me abit similar.  Evening Outfit Finally thought it is time to get dressed up in my new blazer I bought lately. I have to say I am very glad I ordered it .  The shade is perfect not to white but a very nice crème color. The fit is a bit big , as I wasn’t so sure of the cut,. I could o sized down .  I thought I would style  it with a simple white t shirt with added sparkle.  A simple pair  of beige slacks  and some nice jewelry. Acessories  a nice clutch or handbag is also needed . Ideal for a summer garden party! 

  Going  Casual  This is one of my favorites to wear if  traveling , goiing to outdoor events or errands .  It’s Comfortable Casual  The skirt has some stretch and pockets which are ideal to keep keys ,tissues or lipstick. The  sweater has a hood if it gets chilly .  Sandals just add a bit of fun to the look , but definitely not  great for walks.  Then I wear a comfortable slip on shoe in leather in a crème shade. Maybe a slip on runner is an option too.  I say, Comfort is key. 

How do you describe your work style? If you’re working in an office environment or techno, fashion industry what is you style , your favorite outfit? I like  both dresses and suit  and a more relaxed style somedays , depending on what I am doing.  The dress is short sleeved and when it’s chilly I add a nice wrap cardigan over top. Another choice is a pair of slacks and loose top   Casual comfort I think over the years office wear has changed to a more relax look and probably o last few years after lockdown , we want to be more comfortable.   Fashion sustainability  I am sure many of us have closets , drawers overflowing with clothes  That no longer fit or are outdated . So do we do buy more ?. Read this report on how we can change our shopping habits and our wardrobe needs only 74 pieces . That we should only buy five new pieces in the year.   I haven’t  counted the number of pieces in my closet . But I can say I have really cut back on my purchases. Also, some of my items are more then ten years old . Well made and classic styles. So can wear them years.  For myself I have limited my purchases , not for financial reasons but thinking how many things do I really need?  I Love clothes !  But I realized I don’t need as much.  I just recently bought a new dress and a blazer. The blazer is cream color which I didn’t have and linen ;so was ideal for spring summer wear.   Fashion shows extraordinaire  There is nothing more exciting then to see the latest fashion show whether it’s New York,London , Milan , but I think the most amazing fashion shows were the ones created by designer Karl Lagerfeld for Chanel.  His designs were fresh , modern. But the showstoppers were the settings . The space set, a winter village , the beach boardwalk , each with such detail , so creative!  Nothing compares to that! Summer Parties It’s going to be so nice to get out more places .Going out to weddings, parties or just for dining .  This outfit is ideal for any event . A linen blend blazer  and a gorgeous dress worn under it. The dress is a lovely faux wrap style in a vibrant blue shade. The fit is perfect, plus it has some stretch too.  Though I find the texture of the fabric is scratchy feeling  a half slip under solves that problem. Add some simple accessories  . I adore bracelets of all kinds from a lovely pearl one to a modern design . Wear a combination  for something different. So bring on the summer parties 🎉  Items images  hm , and other stories
