TIME TO REFLECT

I had planned to write a post earlier, to start November in a cheery mood with things to get for gifts for Christmas, some decor ideas and other things. But this week was the most terrible week we have had to experience. Monday night our phones were binging notifications of shooting in the city. A TERROR ATTACK.

The week has been a roller coaster filled with so many emotions, great sadness, tears, anger. To imagine a beautiful warm evening out in the centre, people enjoying the evening before the lockdown and then running for their lives. The fear I can only imagine.

Something so unimaginable in this beautiful city. I could not believe it at first. We read about these events happening in so many cities, not only Europe but around the world. It was dreadful, to hear the news and see how the city centre was filled with endless police and ambulances.

It makes me oh so sad to imagine what the families, friends are going through after such a thing. We can only pray for them. Also for the courage of the police officers, ambulance workers, medics, that were there to help and protect , a huge thank you .

I have spent so many times walking around the centre of the city , seeing the Stephansdom, the different cafe , restaurants , strolling along the side streets . Seeing people from all over the world enjoying the area. It will take some time to recover after such a traumatic event, but people are strong.

Vienna has seen many things during wartime and it came back. So this too , it will overcome

We will survive , stronger and determined to see

such things never happen again.

Fashions at the Met The time is here to see the fabulous fashions that are from this years Met Gala .Always aan eye popper and this year the theme was flowers botanical looks. Some very interesting creative fashions, especially if you love flowers. My favorite look was Demi Moore’s gorgeous gown a really stunning dress.. The bold big floral print on the dress was wow! I loved it! And she looked beautiful in it. The other gowns were lovely too. Men in floral print slacks to fun shoes . Something for everyone tastes. Pockets please!!/ fashion

Well as the title says…. Pocket s please! This week has been a very painful week. I recently injured my knee badly. Not able to move stand or walk. When finally bit better I finally managed to move . I needed something to wear that I could put my phone in , glasses medicine in. Any dress I thought I could use didn’t have pockets for anything. Why??? When I think back there usually were pocket inserts nicely sewn on inside of slacks or dresses. Now you rarely find that . I guess it’s a cost saving , less material needed and no extra time used sewing a pockrr er r in. Maybe it’s to give an outfit a more neat look, no bulging pockets. Meanwhile mens wear there are always pockets. Do you like outfit with pockets?

WHAT WAS POPULAR in 2020 Top posts of the year were a mix, but the one that was most popular was the TOUCH OF GOLD, followed by fashions, and people seemed to be interested in a few gardening DIYS, which was a kind of a surprise .
