Vintage or Second hand Phenomenon
Are you into vintage fashion?
As I was looking at the fashion magazines there is always something that reminds me of the past. Whether it is a hairstyle, jewelry or fashions. What was the IT item comes back in vogue. Designer handbags being one, Pradas nylon shoulder bag, or Fendi Baguette bag or the Jackie bag. That is for designer pieces , but also fashion is repeating itself, the fringe is again on the runway. Even one famous model wore a vintage item, a 1950s designer dress. When the Oscars was held Julia Roberts wore a Vintage Valentino gown.
Of course this is not something we can all do or afford , designer pieces. But to keep an eye out for good quality pieces, well made and stylish is what to look for. Natural materials are also a good choose.
The vintage or second market is booming with so many different platforms, Thredup, Depop, or REALREAL . Even in your area you probably will find many vintage shops.

The vintage items are where you can sometimes find similar ideas.
Have you bought anything vintage or looked for anything in a second hand shop? I admit i was not so keen on the idea mainly because of the smell in the places, that musty odour , but I did venture into a shop many years ago, and found a fur jacket that i wore forever.(before there was the faux fur ) Later I went with a friend to her favourite shop, found myself a cute knit wool sweater blazer, which i still have.
If you are lucky you can find some nice pieces.
Now i wish I hadn't been so crazy to clear out my closet before, I had so many things that I wish I had kept. Real leather pieces, that now are so pricey to replace. A fringe shoulder bag, platform shoes, cord suits or blazers. Wool and leather coats.
Of course somethings won't fit anymore, but a purse or shoes will always be wearable.
So my new motto is:
Don't go overboard with closet clear outs, unless it really is no longer your style .
