Wh at is the first thing you do when spring arrives??? I think most of us are glad that finally spring is here. The longer days, warmer weather, not to mention the spring flowers . All things we enjoy.  I especially enjoy getting outside in the garden or going for a bike ride. Finally being able to clear away somethings outside which I find is great .  One thing I have been meaning to get are carrying baskets to mount on the bike. Something I really need to hold shopping 🛍️ r books . Inside Out  Something I enjoy at this time of year is to set out some spring flowers inside .  Bunchesxof tulips or daffodils. They  add so much to a space. Plus they brighten up a room.  Another nice idea is to add some decorative  touches. I never seem to have enough vases    I found these cute spring inspired ones  to set up on  table or the nightstand  Think it says ….. Sspring is here  Enjoy your springtime

The Oscar night  I was excited to get to see the glamorous fashions from Oscar night. So many beautiful gowns The sparkle and the glitz is always something wonderful to see.  Oscars night is around the corner. One of the biggest nights for the movie industry, but also a great time to see what the stars are wearing.  There have been some unforgettable, memorable designs . Some showstoppers !  One I always will remember isotherm Swan dress worn by Bjork, the Icelandic songwriter.  Of course there are many others. Designers who have dressed the stars like Dior, Chanel and many others.  But today it’s all about the dramatic looks from past Oscar nights .   Today is a day women around the  world celebrate  on this day March 8 1908  Women had in New York marched in protest to have shorter workdays , a right to vote  These changes brought about things that we today enjoy but still there are many things that need to change or be improved.  Around the world today we see young girls and young women not allowed to attend school, get an education , to feel safe on the streets , or working in factories for low pay . Doing the same job as a man but earning less.  Of course not all things are bad. There are women astronauts, doctors, lawyers roles that were exclusively male dominated.  There are women politicians, presidents and prime ministers.  So women have come a long way in the last 111 years.  You can read more about it here  https://www.bbc.com/news/world-64723201

Denim works Fall time is when I seem to have a desire to wear more denim outfits.  Whether it’s a dress or blazer it just feels perfect for this time of year. Also , maybe it reminds me of returning to college  Here are a few denim looks , pieces that I think are perfect  from shirt dresses to a simple denim blazer. Accessories also can add a lot to an outfit, a classic watch , a colorful scarf , or a knit dress worn under a blazer  for a comfy warm feel. Denim has also appeared on the fashion runways .

In The Closet After getting the new trench coat and giving it a steaming to get t the wrinkles out , hanging it in the closet  I noticed the different styles of coats  I have collected over the last ten years.  Some I barely wore, others worn daily.  Mostly I have neutral shades. From a camel coat to the leopard print, a navy peacoat .the always worn leather biker jacket . Then a newer winter coat that I absolutely love with its wrap style and fur trimmed hood.  One style I haven’t got are more casual sporty types .  I have been eyeing a few  like the quilted jacket style . They are lightweight, windproof and probably warmer on those rainy windy days .  Here are a few that might be ideal Some color for fall I think is great or a neutral shade .    

Classic Fall Styling A definite change in the weather with rain showers off and on. So will need to start wearing a coat when out.   A classic is the trench coat . There a re so many styles versions to find.  Find ing the right one with a style one likes can take some time. I like a trench with not to much fuss , simple clean lines , plus the right color. Sometimes shades can be tricky in the store lights. I like a darker beige shade , so I finally found it. Wear it with slacks ,a simple striped top and  comfortable shoes.  Or dress it up .  The   Trench

Nail Repair  So annoying the other day I ripped the corner of my fingernail but then it tore even more to the middle. So i thought maybe I can fix it . Checked online and viola. Found a way to repair a broken nail  Really quite simple with a teabag and superglue. Yes really and it works for a simple fast fix. Steps  take a teabag cut open remove tea  cut a piece to about size of nail  to cover . No need to be precise.  Get superglue spread small amount on nail to cover  , using tweezers place teabag on nail , press in place  Let dry then cut away any bits of the teabag.  Says to buff after but I didn’t, as it might tear the material  But it does work for a quick fix . Apply your nail polish as usual. Voila  DIY Nail Repair  The middle nail repaired   

 FINISHING TOUCHES Somedays one has to pay special attention to ones personal care from taking care  of ones body, skin ,hair and nails . Finding time  to  spend getting these things done can  Take several hours . Also finding the right products to use .  I recently bought a new manicure set for traveling , it’s very compact and handy. Comes in handy if I need to trim or file a nail in a hurry.   I also found a new nail polish to try.  Getting Sporty  Thought it was time to get a few new items for doing more physical activities. I am not a gym sort  I prefer to be outdoors or at home   One new thing I am trying is yoga . Trying to get more flexible . After the last years of lockdowns the body needs some help  I also like cycling so biker shorts might be nice to wear under a dress  Here are a few pieces I found   The knee length biker shorts will be handy worn with a t short over  , that and a sports bra So have you started any new sport activity?
