GOING FISHY// bon appetite

WELL OUR HOLIDAYS ARE SOON COMING TO THE END , THIS TRIP HAS BEEN THE
RECHARGE I NEEDED. A TOTAL UNWINDING AND JUST RELAXING WITH FAMILY.
A GET TOGETHER WAS PART OF THE PLAN , SO WE COULD ALL MEET AT A LOCATION
THAT WAS SUITABLE FOR EVERYONE. PLUS IT WAS A BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION ALSO. (TWO BIRDS WITH ONE STONE)

I DECIDED TO HAVE A BIRTHDAY BRUNCH AND GETTING ON MY CHEFS HAT. TRUTH IS I AM NOT KEEN ON FUSSY , TO MANY INGREDIENTS RECIPES. B UT I FOUND A WONDERFUL CASSEROLE DISH , THAT WAS PERFECT FOR HERE .
TAKING IN THE FACT FISH IS A VERY BIG PART OF THE DANISH MEAL.

SO IF YOU LOVE SMOKED SALMON AND CHAMPAGNE FOR BRUNCH HERE IS A GREAT SIMPLE RECIPE.

SCRAMBLE EGGS SMOKED SALMON CASSEROLE
1 PKG SMOKED SALMON SLICES
10 -12 EGGS
1/.2 C MILK
BUTTER
CHIVES GARNISH
SALT PEPPER

BEAT THE EGGS AND MILK AND CHIVES TOGETHER.
PREHEAT SKILLET, ADD BUTTER TILL MELTED - POUR IN THE EGG MIXTURE, SCRAMBLE AS IT COOKS WITH FORK. COOK TILL EGGS ARE STILL SLIGHTLY MOIST.
CHOP THE SAMLON PIECES INTO SMALL PIECES, THEN ADD TO COOKED EGGS.
ADD SALT AND FRESH GROUND PEPPER. GARNISH WITH CHIVES

SERVE HOT WITH BAKING SODA BISCUITS OR A NICE BAGUETTE
simply DELICIOUS!

ALSO ANOTHER BIG THING IS WAFFLES WITH FRESH JAMS,
and PLENTY OF GOOD COFFEE.

Fashions at the Met The time is here to see the fabulous fashions that are from this years Met Gala .Always aan eye popper and this year the theme was flowers botanical looks. Some very interesting creative fashions, especially if you love flowers. My favorite look was Demi Moore’s gorgeous gown a really stunning dress.. The bold big floral print on the dress was wow! I loved it! And she looked beautiful in it. The other gowns were lovely too. Men in floral print slacks to fun shoes . Something for everyone tastes. Pockets please!!/ fashion

Well as the title says…. Pocket s please! This week has been a very painful week. I recently injured my knee badly. Not able to move stand or walk. When finally bit better I finally managed to move . I needed something to wear that I could put my phone in , glasses medicine in. Any dress I thought I could use didn’t have pockets for anything. Why??? When I think back there usually were pocket inserts nicely sewn on inside of slacks or dresses. Now you rarely find that . I guess it’s a cost saving , less material needed and no extra time used sewing a pockrr er r in. Maybe it’s to give an outfit a more neat look, no bulging pockets. Meanwhile mens wear there are always pockets. Do you like outfit with pockets?

Season Changes Well it has finally cooled down which makes it bearable to be outside. Naturally the swimming pools , lakes and rivers have seen plenty o people . Festivals , Films and Fashion The festival season is winding down, but one that I anxiously wait for is the Venice Film festival. A movie and fashion lover can’t miss it! The return of Clooney on screen in Venice with his gorgeous wife is a highlight. Her fabulous fuchsia gown with the train was stunning . She stole the show! Of course there were other stars on the red carpet but no outstanding dresses . Movies some are getting mentioned . For myself I’m not sure what I be tempted to watch. Julia Roberts new one about college professor sexual harassment is a serious topic . Not light entertainment. One film with Helen mirren, pierce Brosnan about senior mystery book club sounds like light entertainment. The actors are all over 60 , s...
