NEW THINGS ... be it fashion or more

It always seems fall is a great time to try new things , be it in fashion, or a new course, or something creative.

Lately I have been working on a project to make our place more minimal So making something for a special room or space is something I would like to try.

Firstly the front entry way. Well this is the main entrance and only entrance . It is okay, but really lacks warmth or color. An all white tall closet, shoe storage and a lot of doors 4 in total. ITs long and narrow with no where to place your purse or sit down. NOT my Favourite ideal place.

Storage is limited , and my guy picked all the things for the place.- before my time. An all male decor. So to start off I think it will nice change to warm the spot up.

Decor Design for Small Space

Number 1 Flooring

entry ways need a durable flooring for wet shoes or boots.
so i picked out some slate flooring for part of the entry.
a wood look laminate for the rest. give it warmth and the much needed colour

Number 2 Storage seating

seating a small bench or chair
a drawer dresser to hold all the woolies, hats scarfs and extra bags
mail drop-off etc.

Number 3 ART or Decoration

Pictures , love black and white i.e. archtiecutal images
Large prints are best for small space so it does not look to cluttered or busy. A statement piece. like the last image.
Plant a small green plant faux as there are no windows or lights
Mirror. last but no least
Large wicker baskets for flyers newspaper recyclables

MET GALA 2024// fashion , MET gala

Fashions at the Met The time is here to see the fabulous fashions that are from this years Met Gala .Always aan eye popper and this year the theme was flowers botanical looks. Some very interesting creative fashions, especially if you love flowers. My favorite look was Demi Moore’s gorgeous gown a really stunning dress.. The bold big floral print on the dress was wow! I loved it! And she looked beautiful in it. The other gowns were lovely too. Men in floral print slacks to fun shoes . Something for everyone tastes. CASUAL SUMMER LOOK//fashion , styling

Doing Denim I sometimes like to wear something that is just more relaxed and comfortable. For some it might be a pair of shorts, but I like a dress. Whether long or short. I just them more comfortable and airy on hot summer days. Denim is one look I like . It’s a casual look that can be dressed up or down, just by changing the accessories you wear with it. Heels or sandal. Simple jewelry, watch or bracelets. There are so many ways to style a denim dress. A great tote to carry the necessary items, sandals and sunglasses I would add a nice colorful scarf for the hair or simply wear tied around the neck.

Favorite Things 2023//fashion , items

Favorite things I really didn’t go overboard with any purchases in 2023. Trying to keep to the sustainable fashion idea of shopping my closet or using what I have . Mind you there were somethings I thought about getting like a new pair of sunglasses, some shoes sandals, new purse , but I still need new sunglasses. My old pair has some scratches on them sadly. The two pieces I did get I absolutely love . Firstly a linen blend blazer in cream shade. It goes with so many things so can’t wait to spring to wear it again. Also the new wrap dress I bought in spring. The color I loved , the fit and style is nice to wear for dinners out, parties or weddings. A very versatile piece. The other item was from a previous year but I had forgotten about it was a nice surprise. I wore it over Christmas holidays. and got compliments on it . A knit top with sparkle accents. It was so comfortable and warm . Absolutely loved it. ...
