THE MICHELIN STAR
A well known guide to the worlds best restaurants and the michelin star is the creme de la creme of all for a Chef or restaurant to achieve . It is the ultimate for any chef to receive and be awarded a star. I am no expert but it must be almost like setting foot on the moon or winning a the world cup in a sport.
Not an easy achievement but it is also mostly awarded to men , as the industry is dominated by males. Only recently has a WOMAN received this famous star . A Chef from India- Garima Arora has made history being the first woman to receive a Michelin. She studied in Paris at the famous Cordon Bleu culinary school and worked with the famous chef Gordon Ramsay and others. Later opened her own restaurant called Gaa in Bangkok, Thailand.
I do love to try different foods with international background from the chinese din sum to caribbean dishes, mexican, middle eastern and western. It is a way to connect and learn about other peoples culture and lifestyles.
