THE SIMPLE THINGS IN LIFE
Yes i can say , I have sort of adapted now to life in Europe. Though it was not all so hard as i had spent time here as a teenager and noticed the differences then.
So to give you a few clues to the lifestyle of Europe things i do now , that i didn't do before.
CHEERS, BROSTE
Well first off, this one thing I noticed here, the Europeans love their wines and beers.
I am not big fan of either , but i do love a sparkling wine on a hot day occasionally.
DAILY LIFE
Shopping, going for groceries more often for daily things is more common. They prefer to
get things fresh or baked daily. Not toast bread but healthy breads that fill you up.
No costco or mega food centres.
CAFES A MUST
Coffee is number 1 in the mornings, no instant ever!
OUTDOOR MARKETS
I think every European city has several. Its a custom to
go to the markets, ramble around, buy fresh vegetables fruits
Enjoy an gelato......
Shopping, in general for clothing perhaps is changing more, especially the younger ones.
But overall I think they prefer quality pieces over quantity. A well made coat, natural materials
Also there is NO Sunday shopping. Hurray! People don't mind it either, as there are other things to enjoy in life , besides shopping or wandering around malls.

PLASTIC , no no.
Plastic bags, okay it is a universal thing, but i can recall way back they would pay of bags, something you didn't do in north america. Now its more reusable bags NO plastic. Something we have adapted.
CARS
Use less often, and more buses and metro or trains. A big difference. Cars are not often used to go into the center of city, most people take the metro. Parking is hard to find so it is simpler to go via public transport. So we don't use a car much. Bonus save euros!
NO CARS ZONES
. Pedestrian walk areas in center. Another wonderful thing I enjoy a lot.
Wonder around the center of city and enjoy the sights, no car horns or noise.
Places to sit , outdoor cafes to enjoy. Sounds good to me.

Walking and cycling much more common . People cycle alot (though not like they do in Holland).
Walking or going for hikes is another big thing, weekend hikes are probably the thing they do a lot.
especially if living in tirol or near mountains.
DINNER TIME?
Meals at different times, this was one big change for me. Here dinner is eaten in the afternoon and a light snack is eaten later in the evening. No big dinners.
But on special occasions it is fine.
THE WURSTELS STAND
A popular place to grab a quick snack. a version of the hotdog stands
They are located through the city and there is always a line.

BOUTIQUES
Small shops and boutiques are the thing you find, it adds a lot of interest.
Also one must always greet the people in stores (rude not too)

CULTURAL LIFE
Art museums , entertainment music , is something you find everywhere. There are live street performers in the center and in parks. The city is buzzing with so much. some events are free .
There are probably many more things that are different , but in general
this is the lifestyle here. It is a beautiful city, with much to see and do.
I still have to explore more of it. And each time i wander around i
am totally intrigued by each place.
