MUSICAL WALKS
I love to listen to music , whether driving in the car , while working or sitting at home. But not only is a good to sooth or uplift your mood it also is great to listen to well exercising.
Seems that music is a good motivation during walking also.
So grab your earphones and runners and lets go.........
WHY?
- brisk" exercise seems to be particularly good for the heart and brain.
- stimulates the production of new brain cells, something which is certainly useful as you get older.
- walk briskly for 30 minutes a day to music
- brisk walkers live longer than those who prefer a more leisurely stroll.
- short bursts of brisk walking seem to deliver more benefit and are often easier to manage, than trying to hit the 10,000 step target.

How much exercise is needed to keep fit and healthy?
Over the course of every week, adults should do a minimum of either:
- 150 minutes moderate-intensity exercise, such as brisk walking, doubles tennis or cycling***
- 75 minutes vigorous exercise, such as running, football or rugby
People should also do strengthening activities - such as push-ups, sit-ups or lifting and carrying - at least two times a week to give muscles a good workout.
Well i am not keen to run or try marathon, the idea of a brisk walk listening to ABBA music is more my style. Should be more enjoyable too!
