Enjoying the Weekend@home// lifestyle

HI everyone! Well its nearly the end of August ,  I can't believe it!
A few projects we started during the lockdown and prior to, organizing is top on the list.
Then a few garden goodies to enjoy over the summer also was a nice treat.

So what were some of things you have been enjoying this month´?

GARDENING, and other things.....

The last few weeks have been so hot here. The idea of doing anything in the heat was not appealing.
So decided to gather up some of the vegetables that are growing , tomatoes galore! So many can't possibility eat them all. So decided to make soup.  A nice treat to have though I eat it cold , more like a juice really. I love tomatoes and most vegetables really.

The neighbours have an apple tree ,bags of apples which we get  to make apple sauce .

Yes a home garden can really make summers delicious with all the produce and vegetables to
partake of .

ORGANIZING ....
this has become a very  good or bad thing, depending on how i look at it. Its also great to get somethings cleared out . My dearest is a big techno and audio fiend , so there is always something
laying around. wires cables, magazines etc. We finally replaced his old dark bookcases with some modern  white units. So it really lightens up the space.  One room  I have named the NASA  room because of all the computers , it is also suppose to be a guest/exercise space. . In that space we changed  the shelfs also , with birch units and a tall storage unit. Can never have enough storage!! But there is still plenty to do, a lot more actually.  ; ((   An ongoing project.

DREAMING  OF......
after all the months of the pandemic, I am sure most of the world is praying that the vaccines will be
available soon. I sure am! Even though I can't complain, I am getting really bored of the daily grind,
the lack of close contact with others, going places.  Once this craziest is over, a trip somewhere is on my list! Maybe even a road trip.  The best times I have had was when we drove through parts of Europe! Going to places not on the usual tourists list.

  1. Lovely post! I resonated with your words about the pandemic. I enjoyed hearing about your projects especially related to your fruit and veg cooking as I’ve been growing some this past year or so. The weather has been very mixed near us but gardening had been a nice activity during this time. :-) xx

Fashions at the Met The time is here to see the fabulous fashions that are from this years Met Gala  .Always aan eye popper and this year the theme was flowers botanical  looks.  Some very interesting creative fashions, especially if you love flowers.  My favorite look was Demi Moore’s  gorgeous gown  a really stunning dress.. The bold big floral print on the dress was wow!  I loved it!  And she looked beautiful in it.  The other gowns  were lovely too.   Men in floral print slacks to fun shoes .  Something for everyone tastes.  Photo via Getty images  Here you can see more from the gala.   Via bbc  https://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-68938637

CASUAL SUMMER LOOK//fashion , styling

Doing Denim  I sometimes like to wear something that is just more relaxed and comfortable.  For some it might be a pair of shorts, but I like a dress. Whether long or short.  I just them more comfortable and airy on hot summer days.  Denim is one look I like . It’s a casual look that can be dressed up or down, just by changing the accessories you wear with it.  Heels or sandal. Simple jewelry, watch or bracelets.  There are so many ways to style a denim dress.  A great tote to carry the necessary items, sandals and sunglasses  I would add a nice colorful scarf for the hair or simply wear tied around the neck.

Favorite Things 2023//fashion , items

Favorite things  I really didn’t go overboard with any purchases in 2023.  Trying to keep to the sustainable fashion idea  of shopping my closet or using what I have .  Mind you there were somethings I thought about getting like a new pair of sunglasses, some shoes  sandals, new purse , but I still need new sunglasses. My old pair has some scratches on them sadly.  The two pieces I did get I absolutely love . Firstly a linen blend blazer in cream shade. It goes with so many things so can’t wait to spring to wear it again.  Also the new wrap dress I bought in spring.  The color I loved , the fit and style is nice to wear for dinners out, parties or weddings. A very versatile piece.   The other item was from a previous year but I had forgotten about it  was a nice surprise. I wore it over Christmas holidays. and got compliments on it . A knit top with sparkle accents.  It was so comfortable and warm . Absolutely loved it.  ...
