CHANGES....  NOT JUST THE SEASONS


 ITS FALL AND WE CAN FEEL A CHANGE IN THE AIR.  IT HAS COOLED DOWN ALOT  AND THE WEEKEND WAS RAINY ALL DAY.  IT CERTAINLY FRESHENED THE AIR OUTSIDE. NEEDLESS TO SAY DIDNT GO ANYWHERE. STUCK CLOSE TO HOME AND BASICALLY PUTZED AROUND THE PLACE.  THE  USUAL WEEKEND HOUSEHOLD THINGS WHICH BRINGS ME TO THE TOPIC ON THIS POST.


A FEW THINGS TO READ  (OR COMMENT ON)

A FEW MONTHS AGO I READ AN INTERESTING ARTICLE ABOUT HOW THE WOMEN IN INDIA WERE PROTESTING OR PETITIONING  THAT THE MEN NEED TO HELP OUT MORE AROUND THE HOUSE.  HMM  THUMBS UP TO THAT.  

THE WOMEN ARE WORKING AS WELL AS THE MEN , BUT WITH THE LOCKDOWN, THEIR HOUSEKEEPERS WERE NOT ABLE TO COME WORK.  SO THEY WERE LEFT TO DO THE WORK THEMSELVES. 


NOT MANY HOUSEHOLDS IN EUROPE OR NORTH AMERICA  WILL HAVE A HOUSEKEEPER OR EVEN AN NANNY. (PERHAPS THE RICHER  AFFLUENT ONLY)

BUT I THINK OVERALL IT IS NOT COMMON. 

THERE IS THE IDEA OF EQUALITY WHICH IN SOME EUROPEAN COUNTRIES WOMEN WILL HAVE THE SAME PAY AS A MAN DOING THE SAME JOB, OR MEN WILL TAKE TIMEOFF FOR MATERNITY ETC,  BUT I THINK MOST WORK AT HOME IS DONE BY THE WOMEN, NOT THE MEN.



HOW MUCH TIME DO YOU OR YOUR MATE SHARE THE HOUSEHOLD CHORES?.

 FOR MYSELF IT IS NOT 50/50  MORE LIKE 75/25.

PS OUR DISHWASHER BROKE DOWN THIS WEEKEND, FILLED WITH A WEEK OF DIRTY DISHES , SO GUESS WHO HAD TO CLEAN THEM? ???

BLOGGING CHANGES



I have been making some changes on the design on the blog, trying the different themes, but i am not so sure it makes much difference.  As the blog is more a place for me to share life culture in Europe  , as well as some fashion styles  and few other things .

So I thought after five years maybe a little change would be a good idea now.


I liked the look of the  NEW magazine format   , if you follow or read the blog

it be nice to know what you guys think.

Fashions at the Met The time is here to see the fabulous fashions that are from this years Met Gala  .Always aan eye popper and this year the theme was flowers botanical  looks.  Some very interesting creative fashions, especially if you love flowers.  My favorite look was Demi Moore’s  gorgeous gown  a really stunning dress.. 2020 popular posts // blogging

  WHAT WAS POPULAR in 2020 Top posts of the year were a mix,  but the one that was most popular was the TOUCH OF GOLD, followed by fashions, and people seemed to be interested in a few gardening DIYS, which was a kind of a surprise . Pockets please!!/ fashion

  Well as the title says…. Pocket s please!  This week has been a very painful week. I recently injured my knee badly. Not able to move stand or walk. When finally bit better I finally  managed to move . I needed something to wear that I could put my phone in , glasses medicine in. Any dress I thought I could use didn’t have pockets for anything.  Why???  When I think back there usually  were pocket inserts nicely sewn  on inside of slacks or dresses.  Now you rarely find that .  I guess it’s a cost saving , less material needed and no extra time used sewing a pockrr er r in.  Maybe it’s to give an outfit a more neat look, no bulging pockets.   Meanwhile mens wear there are always pockets.  Do you like outfit with pockets?
