 SUMMER NIGHTS AT A PALACE

This holiday weekend was spectacular to say the least. From summer night concerts to movie stars the city was filled with major events.


The most well known is the Sommernacht Symphony concert held  on the grounds of the Schloss Schonnbrunn. The Schloss is the former palace of the royals which is now used for special events and exhibitions.  So to have a chance to see a concert being performed live at such a magnificent place is a summer dream. 

The magnificent Schloss with all its grandeur is  the absolute best place to have a summer night concert. With so many world class performers, opera singers to pianists it is the symphonies  gift to the city.  Wandering around the beautiful landscaped grounds  or seeing the stunning sculptures and fountains is so, so worth it.   The Schloss is highlighted with  streams of lights that change colours throughout the evening. 

What can I say, its a dreamy place to be on a summer night in May.

Fashions at the Met The time is here to see the fabulous fashions that are from this years Met Gala  .Always aan eye popper and this year the theme was flowers botanical  looks.  Some very interesting creative fashions, especially if you love flowers.  My favorite look was Demi Moore’s  gorgeous gown  a really stunning dress.. CASUAL SUMMER LOOK//fashion , styling

 Doing Denim  I sometimes like to wear something that is just more relaxed and comfortable.  For some it might be a pair of shorts, but I like a dress. Whether long or short.  I just them more comfortable and airy on hot summer days.  Denim is one look I like . It’s a casual look that can be dressed up or down, just by changing the accessories you wear with it.  Heels or sandal. Simple jewelry, watch or bracelets.  There are so many ways to style a denim dress.  A great tote to carry the necessary items, sandals and sunglasses  I would add a nice colorful scarf for the hair or simply wear tied around the neck.

Favorite Things 2023//fashion , items

 Favorite things  I really didn’t go overboard with any purchases in 2023.  Trying to keep to the sustainable fashion idea  of shopping my closet or using what I have .  Mind you there were somethings I thought about getting like a new pair of sunglasses, some shoes  sandals, new purse , but I still need new sunglasses. My old pair has some scratches on them sadly.  The two pieces I did get I absolutely love . Firstly a linen blend blazer in cream shade. It goes with so many things so can’t wait to spring to wear it again.  Also the new wrap dress I bought in spring.  The color I loved , the fit and style is nice to wear for dinners out, parties or weddings. A very versatile piece.   The other item was from a previous year but I had forgotten about it  was a nice surprise. I wore it over Christmas holidays. and got compliments on it . A knit top with sparkle accents.  It was so comfortable and warm . Absolutely loved it.  ...
