GET READY FOR OCTOBERFEST
A very traditional outfit and growing in popularity it seems. There are so many Dirndl shops .
BEERS & BANDS
This week is the beginning of Octoberfest. The traditional festival
that is held every year . The most famous one of course is held in
Munich it lasts for 18 days beginning mid September to begin of October . The festival has its roots in Bavaria .
Vienna also has a Wiesn festival though much smaller in size , it is held at the Prater Amusement park and is quite popular. I would guess it is less rowdy also.
What to WEAR? A DIRNDL of course!
The numbers of people that attend are extraordinary. Ladies are dressed up in their dirndls- a outfit with a tight bodice and full skirt , worn over a white blouse and with an apron. It's a traditional german outfit that is worn for various occasions, not only Octoberfest.
The designs vary with different fabrics, some are very fancy with embroidered bodices or a more simpler style.
You can have one custom made or buy ready to wear. The choices are endless. The colours are like a rainbow. So a DIRDNL is a must have!

BEERS & BANDS
Yes that is the main thing, good beers and good music. Beers made in Europe are especially famous . Some are more well known then others. Anyone who is a connoisseur of beers can probably find their favourite or if not the major ones are served. So beer, pretzels and bratwurst are on the menus.
The festivities are held in a large beer tent that hold hundreds or in a Beer gardens parklike settings. There is plenty of music and merriment.
So it is a great way to welcome in the fall season and have new experience. I would say, a smaller version is perhaps one way to experience Octoberfest.
CHEERS BROST EVERYONE!
HAPPY OCTOBER
