THE ELEGANT STRASSE
Kartnerstrasse is a pedestrian friendly street located near the
beautiful Graben in the city center. It is very easy to get to via the subway and walking along the street you will see many famous landmarks, the magnificent Stephansdom Cathedral , the stunning Opera house, Sacher hotel and more.
The street is a magnet for tourists to stroll along. There are plenty of places to sit and wonderful restaurants to take a break.
From a traditional Konditeri to international ones.
Street performers can be heard playing songs along it and
there is always a crowd . You will see people in period costumes outside the Opera house or near the cathedral, selling tickets to
performances.
Sundays are the best time to really enjoy the street, the architect and the ambience. Winter is the most spectacular that is when
it is lite up with lights and those beautiful chandeliers.
